I think you need to solve the problem of your nose growing with a lie by stating, "My nose will now grow."

I tried calling 911 once, but my phone doesn't have an "11" button. :p:

I once saw a car accident when I was waiting for a bus, yanked out my cellphone and called 911, and the operator when I talked to her said there were other people that called in reference to the accident as well. Said Thank you and hung up.

Well I am impressed.... I saw the title "Canadian Woman Calls 911 10000 Times" and I was expecting a few "canadian" jokes.

As a Canadian I would like to thank each and every one of who resisted the urge to make a "stupid Canadian" joke :D:

And remind you she is from Quebec (they are not really canadian any way)

Hey!!

We're as patriotic as any other Canadian.....

....when we need the money :p: .

But I did also just notice that this hasn't turned into the normal anti-Canadian humour that tends to sometimes be dominant south of the border...yet. I'm sure someone will be along momentarily to change that now that it's been mentioned :p: .

(For the record, I'm originally from Montreal, and am a proud Canadien francophone, as well as a proud Québécois.)

I have assisted the QPP a few times, and was really suprised when I heard about how much punishment is given out there for breaking a law, that would land people into some serious jail time here in the colonies!

hehehehhee

True, but I called in an accident last week, perhaps 15 minutes later, and they said they hadn't gotten a prior report.

What made that sound so odd to me is that I pulled over when I saw the wreck, but by the time I had parked and run back, both drivers were still sitting in their cars, chatting on their cell phones, and were surrounded by three other drivers, who were also online.

Made me wonder if they had even noticed the accident! :wreck:

On our way back to Portland to get the car and take it back to Florida, we were aboard a flight about to land. As someone who likes watching out airplane windows, I looked down in time to see two cars collide on the ice. I was close enough that I could see the license plate number on the offending car. I called the police non-emergency line, giving them the details I had.

Dispatcher: Thank you for that information. May I get your current location?

Me: Chicago Midway Airport.

Dispatcher: ... Okay. ... And where were you at the time of the accident?

Me: On approach aboard Southwest Airlines 1529*.

Dispatcher: ... Okay, ... And what intersection was that?

Me: I don't know, I didn't see the signs. We were going too fast. I decided the best thing to look at was a license plate.

Dispatcher: ... Right. Can I get your phone number so we can contact you if we need more info?

Me: 503, ...

I did later get a call from one of the lawyers wanting a better witness account. Glad I was never called in to testify.
