Nightmares About Work

As requested in another thread I will post my dream about reopening the subs.

Some how I was chosen for opening crew on the subs. We were testing them in the sub pond and the wierdest thing the pond had no water. We kept running them around in a giant circle bypassing the North Pole area of the ride. We then had to practice adding and removing subs because we had this special wheelchair sub that looked a lot like one of those one man subs they use for exploration. Finally they added water. Still more of the same running the subs around the sub pond but we never went through the north pole area. We then opened the subs to the public never having driven the subs through the north pole. Everything went wrong that could. Also the subs were every color but yellow or grey.

That's the last time I eat chinese food before bed.

In four years I had plenty of nightmares about work. Here's probably my favorite one:
I had a shift at the Emporium (this happened about a year and a half after I went to Strollers) and was on the verge of being late for my shift. I get to the Emporium and the lead, who I knew didn't like me, marked me late for showing up 1 minute after my shift time. The only reason why I was 1 minute late was because a guest stopped me as I was crossing Main Street to ask for directions. I tried to reason with her but she insisted on docking me for 1 minute and giving me the 1.5 points. I then just started yelling and cussing her out.

I woke up with a smile on my face. I had really wanted to cuss out that lead more than once, and I know I'm not the only one.

I haven't had any nightmares but I've dreamnt that I worked at Matterhorn.

hmm, yeah, i had a dream about the castle not matching. i have dreams that i have too evac steam trains, and nothing is going right, during my indy training, i woke up on day two at 8:00pm (had been napping on the couch after work) and thought it was 8:00 am, and that i was horribly late, since i was supposed be there at five am... that was the worst ever, i don't know that i managed to sleep the rest of the night... i took a vacation, and was dreaming that i went to the wrong location, and kept trying to leave to go to the right one, but i couldn't make it there, i just kept showing up at the same wrong place ( i can't remeber if i was at indy, or steam trains, and where i was trying to go, but my costume was all wrong, and omg it gave me a panic attack, i had to wake up, and go look at the water to make it right, good thing i was sleeping atop a houseboat, and the rocking was able to lull me back to sleep.

Well, I've had two dreams, and I was in another cast member's dream. Let's see one that I had there were cobras in the boats at Small World and they were like swimming around and stuff, cause for some reason there was water in some of the boats, and we were like throwing jackets and stuff on the cobras to identify where they were. Oh yeah, we were weren't loading guests anymore, but we still had them like standing on the dock and just weren't opening the gates. The dream was actually a lot more vivid than that but that's all I can really remember.

The dream another cast member had about me, I died cause Small World flooded. They knew this cause guests I was evacuating told the cast members outside, which shows it must be a dream cause no one who hasn't done a walk through on Small World could find their way out easily. Anyway, I was evacuating cause we had a power outage, apparantely, so if there's ever a power outage and I'm on Small World, I'm not going in to evacuate, they can fire me for all I'd care.

I don't work anymore because of my Muscular Dystrophy, but I take a lot of pain killers and they give me very VIVID nightmares. In one I had my dream job, I was a monorail pilot at DLR. I was really good at it, it came totally naturally to me. Then all of a sudden, on the stretch of track in front of Main Street I realize that by doing this job I am jeapordizing my Social Security Disability benefits, and I have to stop NOW!! So I stop the train right where it is and try to climb down off the beam, and run to the hiring office and try to convince them that they have to forget they even MET me, nonetheless hired me. Of course they can't do that, and I wake up sweating and worried. The Percocet makes it seem so real. There have been variations of the job, in one dream I was working at a rock quarry, and getting to operate really heavy machinery. The worst part about these stupid dreams, is that in real life I had to be medically retired from the easiest job in the world at THE GIANT TELEPHONE COMPANY making about $23 an hour, so any other job that I would dream about would be a step down financially. BUT, on Social Security I still make over $2200 a month[because I have two kids still living at home], so it would be terrible to lose that and Medicare. [BTW, I dont care if people know how much I make on SS because I think that people shouldn't be afraid and know that our government DOES take care of those who can no longer help themselves].

I once had a dream where someone spilled a soda on the trak at Mr. Toad that caused a huge mechanical error. None of the cars would stop and the lap bars were locked. So we had to jump on the cars (that were now going about 20mph) and manually release the lap bars then get the people out of the cars in the town square scene (which was hard to find because the ride had extra rooms that kinda looked like Pooh and Alice combined) so they had enough room to tuck and roll. But before we could get everyone out the door that connects Toad to Alice the judge and the devil judge can to life and ate the guests. As the last guest was eaten the cars stopped and all of the cast members made it out safely.
It was pretty messed up

It's not a nightmare about work, but a nightmare about other castmembers, I think. I dreamed that I made up with two female female castmembers that I hurt in the past that made them hate my guts now, and at the end, we became great friends!!! When I work up, I knew it was all a dream and that the two female castmembers I did hurt their feelings, STILL HATE MY GUTS!!!

Well I don't work at disneyland, but I've had a couple dreams and a nightmare about it.

In the nightmare we went to disneyland and went on the jungle cruise, but no one was doing the speils, the boat just went around the track, so I had fun doing the speils, but then somehow I fell off, and the boat turned into a indiana jones vehicle and was about to crush me, but I escaped. And then later I jumped onto the Columbia after it left dock because that was it's last trip around the river for the day and I didn't want to miss it. However it had only CMs on it and went to the backside of Tom Sawyer Isl. where all the CMs were being given weapons, knives, guns, ect, and I discovered that disneyland was just a front for a vast illegal operation. But there was no way off the island so I had to pretend to be a CM and got a weapon. Then they realized I wasn't a CM, and so naturally they had to kill me so I wouldn't tell the police, so I single-handedly was fighting all the armed CMs... I think I was winning, but then I woke up.

Dude, I have those vivid dreams -- without the Percocet! Wonder what that says about me...
