Pretty much what that post doesn't say:
Got here 2/20 -- daughter puked on the Magical Express to the resort. We tried going to Epcot. She puked there.
2/21 --- Went to Hollywood studios. She puked there too and we left.
2/22 -- We went to Magic Kingdom. Saw the parade and then went to First Aid who sent us to Urgent Care. Sat there for 2 hours and was told they woulnd't treat her. Was then sent to Celebrations. They don't really treat kids who need to stay, so they shipped us by ambulance to the Children's Hospital in Downtown Orlando which is 25 miles from our resort. We have been paying $53 tax cab fare each way.
2/23 -- Still in hospital (see pictures on blog)
2/24 - Got out tonight. Talked to Disney who told me they can't do anything.
For us to spend just 1 extra night, it'll cost us over $500 so that isn't an option, so all I really want to do is make these 2 days we have left the best they can be. I have 1 dinner reservation and that's it and we've used none of our sit down credits. We did purchase the travel insurance but I can't talk to a claim person till after we get back and they don't think they will reimburse us for the tickets we walked into the park and left shortly after. I asked for Disney's help since I can't even get the housekeeping people to make animals with the towels in our room. And was told they couldn't do anything.

Re: A Guest Needs Some Magic
Ummmm, is Disney now responsible for going to WDW with a sick kid?
what does she want? for them to refund everything? not gonna happen.
We went one year and DW got very sick after Oahana dinner. Though it was bad food, but it turned out to be gall bladder problems from the fried stuff.
BUT, we had trip insurance that covered the in-room doctor visit above our health insurance coverage.
And the trip insurance covered us when we got stuck there a few extra days during a hurricane.
The trip insurance covers unforseen problems, but it is after the fact. I got a check for the overage of changing airline tickets, and two extra night of staying at the hotel. But I got it about month after returning home.
Just bad luck on her part. If the kid was upchucking on the bus from the airport, I think I would have gotten it looked at, rather than trying to continue by dragging a sick kid to Epcot, MK, etc. (thats kinda a defination of an SG parent) (? towel animals...Really?, jeez how about helping your sick child)
RUM?

I cannot help her but am glad someone here is on ignore, growl.
When a kid pukes on the bus you blame stress and nerves but the second day they should have known the kid was sick and did I see a diagnosis? If the kid is in the hospital then it is one sick kid who should be home in bed, poor thing.
I do not knwo about towel animals but usually there are some very nice people in hotels. I am staying out of this one.

yeah, good luck.
unless you can prove it was disney's fault you still eat the whole thing.
I got sick riding splash mountain for hours, went to first aid and threw up.
they said we hope you feel better soon, got a balloon, some asprins and a Have a magical day.
well, when I got to the swan moat at the castle and ralphed in the pond,
they did ask if I would like some water. I bet those swans were wondering what all those chunks were floating around with them....
spent the next day in my room snorting, sneezing and shaking like a dying animal. next day I found some stuff to fix me right up in a few hours.

Re: A Guest Needs Some Magic
Mom drags her sick daughter through three parks in three days before thinking about any treatment and wants Disney to do something ! ! !
Disney should press charges for causing a health hazard. Mom knew her daughter was sick and still exposed her to the general public. Repeatedly.
Who knows how many people her daughter made sick. She's not getting any sympathy from me.
Sounds like "mom" is more concerned with $ and park time lost than her daughters welfare. SG parenting at it's finest.
Back-up a few blog entries from kurtisnelson's link, between her blogs of contest entries, to Florida Hospital.
There is a response to that blog post that says:..... "I was hoping you guys would all be feeling better by (the) time you go down there."
I guess not.

The parents are sick on the 16th and the kid got it from the parents probably. I feel sorry for the kid having to have her pictures on the internet as she suffered. Maybe the kid has a prior condition so will not judge but boy does that mom have nerve, read below.
She has on page 76 of her flickr account pictures of the kids in the bath tub standing up naked, omg lady you really need to cover them up.

Page 78 is the kid on the potty.

Re: A Guest Needs Some Magic
Yeah, my first though was why does she feel like she deserves something. I still think it would be nice if disney could do a little bit of ticket rearranging or something, but that is definitely above and beyond. I guess I should have titled it SG Wants Some Magic.
Edit:
Definitely a SG:

Last time I checked the flu map on weather.com, it was pretty bad just about everywhere. People, get your flu shots, and get them early! And wash your hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes, blah, blah, blah.

The flu hit our work. They offered flu shots at the local markets. I can't have the flu shot, allergies. I got a flu bug with hot and cold shivers. I missed 4 days of work.
