Woohoo! Plane tickets are booked! The trip always seems more real to me when we get our flights set -- mainly because we get non-refundable tickets! :)

We've put in for our hotel reservations, and the chorus is hard at work on our contest set (in addition to finishing up a new CD, performing three shows in the next two weeks, and preparing for our Spring show series in April)! Less than 19 weeks till we leave! :D: :D:

I wish I could go, but there is a chance I could be in Kyoto...

We'll be in the Honda Center (along with 10,000 screaming fans!). The chorus competition is on Friday, July 3, with the first session from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the second session from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. VM sings seventh in the first session, so we'll probably go on around noon.

Convention details are here. Right now they're just selling convention registrations (which include not just the chorus competition but also the quartet competition quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, and the collegiate quartet contest), but closer to time they'll have single day tickets available. Admission to the chorus competition alone is usually around $30.

Oh, and check this out -- this is the logo for this gathering of barbershoppers: :D:

I went back to the park because of honey popcorn, popcorn, dole whips and um what else.

WOMBAT

I and Calvin would go one day but he tires easily it seems and could only handle one day. Good luck and hugs.

It's another month closer! Are you excited yet????

Okay, I'm sure nowhere near as much as I am. But here's a little promo video about the Anaheim convention:

I know I mainly keep replying to my own posts in this thread, but oh well. Anyway, a bit of actual Disney-related news: at the convention, the Barbershop Harmony Society will be honoring the Dapper Dans (current and former). From the LiveWire newsletter:
Dapper Dans of Disneyland to be Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at the Anaheim Convention

The Dapper Dans barbershop quartet has been performing at Disneyland in Anaheim, California since 1959. That makes this year their 50th Anniversary in show business. To help commemorate this milestone, and because the Dans have touched so many lives for so many years, the Barbershop Harmony Society will be presenting the Dans with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday night July 4, in front of a packed house at Anaheim’s Honda Center. Members of the Dapper Dans from around the world will be invited on stage to share in the celebration. The presentation will conclude with a special performance by the Anaheim Dappers. Several of the Dapper Dans are members of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
I have noticed a trend when it comes to trip topics, everyone is just so excited about the trip that no one responds.
