This was at the top of my home page this morning when I logged into Facebook:
Terms of Use Update
Over the past few days, we have received a lot of feedback about the new terms we posted two weeks ago. Because of this response, we have decided to return to our previous Terms of Use while we resolve the issues that people have raised. For more information, visit the Facebook Blog.
If you want to share your thoughts on what should be in the new terms, check out our group Facebook Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

I am pleased that they did listen to the community, but unfortunately now I refuse to trust that they won't sneak that back in sometime. Any images I have that I want to keep for my uses are no longer available to them. But I am glad they listened.
I will be talking to you very soon. Do you know how to use Flash, and can you teach me? :D:kurtisnelson wrote:They had previously snuck in a license to change the TOS whenever they feel like it. I just stick all my pictures on Flickr and have the flickr app link to them. And BW, you know I will aid with whatever websites you need :)
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I learned some flash, then forgot it, then had a friend start his photography business and wanted to use flash. We compromised and he bought a template and I manage it for him :)Big Wallaby wrote: I will be talking to you very soon. Do you know how to use Flash, and can you teach me? :D:
I have accounts on shutterfly, flickr, picasa, etc. My favorite tool, Gallery 2 running on my own server :D:

I strongly dislike Flash. It is a programming language written by artists.ktulu wrote:I learned some flash, then forgot it, then had a friend start his photography business and wanted to use flash. We compromised and he bought a template and I manage it for him :)

Yeah, I prefer not to use flash as well. I think that all websites should be text only! Long live lynx!kurtisnelson wrote:I strongly dislike Flash. It is a programming language written by artists.
Oh, and while we're on the geeky subject, keep html out of email!

Re: Stupid Facebook Tricks
The thing I like about Flash or some similar program is that I could display my work without ugly watermarks, and while it could still be stolen, it would be difficult to steal it with any quality. Are there other programs that allow that?

That's the thing is how to prevent someone from stealing your content. Flash is a good answer, and works for my friend, except the images are still in the cache ;)Big Wallaby wrote:The thing I like about Flash or some similar program is that I could display my work without ugly watermarks, and while it could still be stolen, it would be difficult to steal it with any quality. If they can see it they can steal it. Watermarks really are the best option.Big Wallaby wrote:The thing I like about Flash or some similar program is that I could display my work without ugly watermarks, and while it could still be stolen, it would be difficult to steal it with any quality. I use http://www.PopDrops.com and can capture any image on the screen even flash. Flash is not guaranteed to prevent theft. I have seen kids under the age of 14 stealing flash.kurtisnelson wrote:If they can see it they can steal it. Watermarks really are the best option.
