The Amazing Race

Post by hobie16 » Sun Feb 15, 2009 3:36 pm

The latest Amazing Race starts tonight. My part time neighbor is half of the team of Mark and Michael. They're both stuntmen so they should go far.

Here's a commercial Michael was in. Guess which character he is?

The toitle!! Hey, looks like his team is doing well on Amazing Race so far, and having lots of fun. I think he's the only one who did the bungee jump with a smile on his face. :D:

That cheese obstacle cracked me up!!

I agree -- that cheese thing was hilarious. And I'm delighted that one of the obnoxious "Our relationship consists mostly of him yelling at me but I love him" teams was eliminated early, and the other may not be around long.

The stunt duds are pretty awesome -- they showed no fear at all. Great find on the vid, hobie.

Another moment that cracked me up unexpectedly -- the one team at the pit stop mat proving that they were able to do the cheese task standing by showing no mud on their rear ends!

He was the turtle. :D:

Michael lives for that stuff. He said it took so long to get to the end of the bungee he forgot where he was.

It was pretty cool to see the mother/son team finish first.

Yeah, I think lots of people are rooting for the mother & son team.

I don't think the self-proclaimed hillbilly couple are going to last long, especially the wife. She says she can't run - why would she enter a RACE when she's not physically fit and can't even run??!!
At least her husband was clever enough to figure out how to slide the cheese down the hill.

It's gonna be tough on the wife but the Mr. thinks on his feet and came up with a good field expedient.

Surprisingly, the ones that broke loose and rolled down the hill were still in play. If I'd been there and known that, the laughing locals would have been hot footin' it down the road with a cheese roll hot on their butts.

The other Michael, which is the father and son team helped my nephew out on a project...he's an indie film producer (school of Rock anyone) and is really cool!

I'm rooting for him as well.

I'm not a tourist cause I work there...

My wife pointed out that the top three teams are genuinely happy all the time. No arguments and focused. She talked to Michael yesterday and pointed out that he was either high fiving other teams or shooting shakas the whole time. He said it was because he was having a great time.

He didn't just write it, he was in the film as well -- he was Jack Black's roommate, the real Ned Schneebly that Black pretends to be throughout the film so he can work.
