Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I understand wanting to have a big family (I'm one of 8 kids). But what she has done is wrong. She is unmarried, not working, and is living with her parents...in a 2-bedroom house. I really hope those babies are taken away from her.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

If she was to get a boy friend, I wonder if he would care for the kids too?
As for me, I have problems with kidney stones and I was told if I got pg, the pain from the stones would put the baby in distress and cause it to die.
I still don't think I could handle 14 kids. Couldn't she put some up for adoption?

She might have been thinking along the old lines of the more kids I have the more money I get from the Gov't. I have no clue what this girl was thinking. I think it goes back to some of the TV stuff she has seen on the family who had 8 in Iowa and then Jon & Kate and she was thinking all this attention would be fun. Little did she know people would be very harsh and critical of her. Like Hobie said, maybe she was hoping EMHE would come and build her a house.
This is a perfect example of Keanu Reeves line from Parenthood about where you need a lisence to drive, to vote, etc but any idiot can have a kid.

And now I just found out she attended the same school I used to go to (California State University, Fullerton)
. I always knew there was something about that school.....
This also raises the possibility that she might have been at one time a DLR CM (CSUF isn't called "Cal State Disney" for no reason, lol) :shaker: .
Not to mention that she's performing semantic and linguistic acrobatics with the term "welfare"; and this whole apparent Angelina Jolie-fetish.
Just pathetic, IMO. The State Government should step in for the good of the children.

Re: Calif. Woman Now Mom to 14 Children
I agree that what she's done is irresponsible, but... I'm not sure the vitriol the poor lady is getting is really called for. Death threats and sterilization jokes. I'm sorry, but as unwise as what she's doing is, we can't just start sterilizing people for having too many kids.
Also I don't believe she set out to have 8 babies and I can't blame her for wanting to take all 8 to term when they implanted... there were only 6 embryos, and from what I understand about how in-vitro works, the odds were WAY against all of the embryos taking root, and certainly against all of them taking root AND two to split into twins. You can't fault a woman for not choosing selective reduction abortions.
Also, if you've read, she's not on welfare, so more kids won't get her more money from the govt. The only public assistance she's getting is food stamps. The rest she's got out in loans. It's, once again, not wise, but not the same as deliberately trying to freeload off the government.
Just saying... really she doesn't need all this negative attention, and we don't know that she's an SG, and all this is kinda mean spirited, when you consider she only was trying to have one, maybe two more, and now has 8 babies, several of which are likely to have developmental problems from being premature, and probably has enough to worry about.
Just my 48 cents.

Re: Calif. Woman Now Mom to 14 Children
If she was REALLY worried, she wouldn't have had the in-vitro in the first place. She's not, because she's counting on EVERYONE ELSE to help her with this mess! IRRESPONSIBLE.
Like I said, just watch.
She does say she'll be going back to school this Fall, relying on CSUF to take care of her children...already owes $50,000 in student loans, getting food stamps and SSI for her the previous 6 kids already....Kaiser has applied to Medi-cal to assist with the costs of taking care of her 8 preemies.
I have been working since age 15, took care of my 2 kids ON MY OWN because of their deadbeat dad (yeah, that was MY mistake!)Didn't qualify for SSI because I made over $2,000 a month ($600.00 of which went back to child care) Exhausted and guilty because my kids spent so much time at the sitters :( But I did it and was proud that I wasn't taking from the taxpayers.
Yeah, the children are innocent and should be loved and appreciated, but I don't think that is what SHE is concerned with.

I think she was watching the Duggar's more closely than Jon & Kate. (The Duggar's are the ones with 18 kids. The show is called 17 Kids & Counting.)
