Ok, so we've now got 2 lighting techs, I'm an audio tech, we've got a film crew, and I'm pretty sure we've got a pyro tech on here. Put that together with our 2 vocal performers (1 opera and 1 barbershop), and ... yeah, I'm not sure what kind of show that is either. It'd be entertaining, but I'm not sure it'd sell a lot of tickets.

I'm an A/V tech. So, I can do some lighting, sound and projection. And I'm part of a pyro crew.

Reminds me all too much of a performance done by my longtime idol, diva, and the woman I'd love to eventually be -- but would never even dream of even attempting to imitate.

And yes, folks - I did see her in the WDW X-Mas parade .... live, second row, tears in my eyes. It was one of the most amazing and overwhelming feelings being so close to her - seeing each lash on her eye, each line in her palms, her fine baby skin fuzz on her pink blushed cheeks, each sequin on her dress...

Are you any good at songwriting? Anyone here a songwriter? I always write prose, which might not do to well in a song... though it seems some recent stars have been getting away with it.

Well, if the song is already written, I can re-write lyrics for it. As far as new, original creations, not so much.

Let's not jump the gun too soon, I've not even started my first Opera yet. And even then, I'm only a chorus girl.

Not much of a songwriter myself. Nor do I compose. I am just an interpreter of music I have heard else where.

Just remember, in the Phantom of the Opera, Christine Daae started out as a chorus girl, and she went from replacing the diva Carlotta temporarily to permanently. :D:

You're probably right since just getting the permit in San Jose is usually the biggest part of the pyro budget. For a musical, that usually only needs a few effects, the cost of the permitting process is more costly than the product.
And I'm not sure if San Jose is higher or average when it comes to these costs. Mileage may vary in other cities or towns.

I can add a pile of pennies to the budget. Hubby tends to snag any of silver coins if I put them on the dresser.

I'll handle the networking/server for the live streaming video of the performance for those who cannot make the show, but are willing to pony up the dollars to watch online. I'm thinking multicast both v4 and v6 :)
