With it being Mansion Holiday there are a lot more longer shifts so a lot more people are getting lunches, so a lot more of us are getting our lunches to go and bringing them back to the mansion break room. This causes a problem cause our trash can over fills. We call custodial to come and empty it and it sits for like 3 days. So my custodial friends in DL.....

WHY DOES THIS CALL NOT SEEM TO GO OUT?! Sorry it just irks me.

I know what you mean, its the same way for us custodial and maintanance issues (actually with maintanance its almost impossible to get them to come unless you mention injured guest or the restroom will go 101). Usually the lead ends up having to replace a damaged mirror or the like, instead of maintanance. Keep calling, sometimes the people in the office are slow, or extremely busy, and be very specific. People in the office here some weird locations that make no sense.... Or you can ask the cast members dumping the trash cans in critter country and new orleans to do it when they get a chance, after all they are the ones who are supposed to be doing it. Or get your lead to change to channel 3 and call "custodial new orleans from haunted mansion (1?)". Also, I wouldn't be suprised if dl custodial has someone specifically assigned to work just haunted mansion queue line/trash cans on days when it has the longest line (holiday) and is packed, it is like that at tower of terror and indy.

Lemme ask you, is this trash can a full sized one or just a tiny waste paper basket in the lead office and people are eating there? Tiny waste baskets are night custodial's job when they come clean your place up. The only break areas we take the trash out of at dca are tower, animation, and grizzly, cause these are the only ones that have breakrooms (none at screamin, although there is one outside, none at ittbab, none at soarin', etc). But I know you guys have a restroom down there so i'd imagine there is a break area with tables and a larger trash can.

Yeah I'm sure. I'm 5'9".
Yeah, oooo, I hate that ... I've had problems with costuming cast members about stuff like this!

I'm barely 5'3" and petite ... most girls my height and size would wear a 28"-30" inseam for pants, but my legs are just a TINY bit longer than most girls my height/size so I wear a 32" and sometimes a 34" inseam in pants ... one time I couldn't find my size and so a costuming cast member came over to help me since everything was mixed up ... she INSISTED I get a 28" inseam!! I mean, she literally stood there and argued with me ... I tried to explain to her my legs and all that and she gave me this look like, "You wish...!!" So I took the 28s put them on and then came out to show her how flooded they were! She looked all annoyed because *I* was right about my own body and then she helped me find the size I needed.

Sorry for that vent! I just needed to get that out! :x

Arghh costuming strikes again, the day after I grabbed the wrong size shorts from the location for my right size, I took everyone's word on triple checking the size, and then I get into the changing room and guess what, no button! I figure oh well, I can just zipper up and use the belt, no problem, then I notice the zipper is broken! Arghhh back to costuming after checking in. I told them it was broken and they tossed it in with the rest of the dirty clothing, so someone else will get these crap pants. Wasn't late to work, but I wasn't able to grab a bite to eat before work. Then guess what, my pouch broke 10 minutes into my shift, making me carry a lost and found cell phone and squeege on my belt. Lol what bad luck. I don't want to wash my own clothes, I HATE washing clothes. Too bad my change o matic doesn't work.

Yeah, Magic Kingdom is about to go to "Cast Zooming" where they issue us five sets of costume and then forget we exist. I have never been able to find five sets of costume in my size! And if Unca' Mikey thinks I'm gonna do the Company's laundry for him, then he's dumber than Roy says he is.

Don't even get me started about the Bad Show of seeing CMs off-property buying beer, bogarting a smoke, and going to see the competition's movies ... in costume!!!

Wow really? They are making it so they don't do any laundry at all? I'd be pissed. With change o matic they still do your laundry (well not disney, some outside company), same with fast track. It worries me that with all the cast members who come to work and leave work in costume and do all their own laundy might make costuming come closer and closer to doing no laundry at all.

Its a normal sized trash can. It's right by the break room phone, the recycle bin and the water cooler. We have a couch, 2 tables, 4 chairs and 2 TV trays. Along with a TV, Microwave, Fridge and a counter with coffee maker. It's like pulling teeth trying to get the damn trash can emptied. The NOS custodial should know where the mansion break room is they walk by it all the time. And when I call I say "Hi this is so-in-so at the Haunted Mansion our break room trash can is over flowing could you send someone to empty it?" Then I get an ok and it never gets emptied.

Yeah that sucks. I suggest you go up to the NOS custodial locker around 5pm (when the radio is turned over between leads), speak with the opening and closing leads and tell them that whenever you call custodial central no one ever comes to dump the cans in your breakroom (and believe me, the leads are at the locker 50% of the time). The locker is right between your exit and the old splash mtn fastpass machines. Then again, custodial central sometimes doesn't even give my messages to my lead when I am in restrooms, so it could be their fault.

Yeah its the same way between us and maintanance. You call them about a broken sensor and the thing is still broken a month later....

Oh the Mausoleum I know where that is. I'll suggest that to our lead. Matenience comes out pretty quick when the ride breaks down (well 10 minutes is quick). But other then that getting minor things fixed is like pulling teeth. Though dorm matenence came out within 24 hours to fix the broken lock on my door. Go figure.

well you guys are lucky u at least have a semi-large custodial force...alcatraz has 1-2 people on the island at any given time to clear out garbage and to fix the plumbing. the bathrooms flood or break down almost 3-4 times a week...sad thing is there are only two restrooms and the seem to work together when they go on strike...and when they flood they really flood with "objects" floating out and down the hill...gross...takes hours for them to fix em so we tell the ppl to use the boat restrooms so everyone gets pissed off at us but we just have a good laugh at the end of the day...thats when we bring out the bio hazard bags and equipment to clean up. lol :bounce:

YES!!!!! im incorrigible...anymore questions????
