Disneyland "Good Night Kiss"

Post by Belgarion42 » Thu Jan 15, 2009 5:55 pm

I have a question for any Disneyland experts here who might know. I remember hearing at least once before that about an hour after park closing there is a "good night kiss" (i.e. some kind of special touch, whether a little musical thing , a light effect, etc.) to kind of cap off the night. Is that correct, and if so, is it done every night?

I ask because I was there Tuesday night until about 9:05 p.m. (park closed at 8:00), and I didn't see or hear anything, so I've been thinking that perhaps I was mistaken.

Thanks!

Somewhere a couple years ago, someone posted a link to a video of the "good night kiss" on here. It was like a light show with music, with I think a few fireworks thrown in. A search might find it.

I'm not sure Disneyland's going to do too much with the "Good Night Kiss" sort of thing due to Main Street's trolley tracks being worked on. I know I've heard an announcement saying when it's closing time, but that's about it... and I work on Main Street.

There is a story I heard from someone that Main Street is getting more curb cut offs. Over at disAbilities on Disboard was a poster who posted twice and basically said that the plaids could not tell her where disabled viewing spots were for the parade. She did not get the room she wanted for her disabilities so she did not immediately call the lobby to get it up to what she asked for. I was going to post here but I think some of you might be offended by her posting as it basically made CMs incompetent. The word I heard was that she complained to everyone in Disney she could about her trip and that is why the new repairs.

I laughed so hard as one guest usually does not have that kind of power. I did change the way the trains were roped off at Tomorrowland and got the ropes removed at Jungle Cruise that had been cut so people could steal from the shop next door. Do you think one guest got them to put more curb cut offs in and how as right now as memory serves me there are more than enough and I never had problems at DLR.

Purpura take some pictures of the construction and make sure to take NOTES and show the regular and diet versions.

So it sounds like I might have to wait until the Main Street construction is done to be able to experience it. I hope I can then!

There's a wall blocking off the hub where the Walt and Mickey statue is. That's the NOTES! I think they're working on the trolley tracks in there.
