He starred in the TV series "The Prisoner" and "Danger Man" (aka "Secret Agent Man") and appeared in "Ice Station Zebra", "Escape from Alcatraz", "Braveheart" and other movie and TV roles.

I remember Richard Pryor sticking a .38 in his face after he called Pryor the N word in Silver Streak. "I'll slap the taste out your mouth! You don't even know my name! I'll whoop your ass!"
