Just remember we had 20 years on the east coast and we pretty much gave you east coasters all out safety tips we learned from our first 20 years.

The old joke used to go:
What's the longest ride in Disneyland?
The ride to Palm Harbor Hospital.

"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

They think she either stood up to get the seat belt from under her or she undid the seat belt to take care of her child in the seat behind her. Either way she fell out and landed on her back on the track and was run into by a ride vehicle.
Dolly was visiting the park by herself, she would have no reason to turn around to help somebody else's child. I know the guy who was working belts at the time and he remembered fastening her seat belt. Disney won in court, the court ruled that Dolly took off her belt and committed suicide.

That's scary. I think the seat belts now are much better. I remember when they were gray and you slid them together like a belt. It had a clamp and did some what lock.

I just got back over here and forgot to update that and yeah I later found the article that said she was alone. There are stories about that one that are myths.

I SET CORRECTED.
Thanks for the info. I get tired of the rumours out there. What I remember was that she was obese according to papers at the time. I do not know what happened but CMs on bobsleds are very careful and they double check. I have had to peel stuff back to show that I had my belt on as it did not show that I was belted. I always rode with two belts as a single rider. I could ride it in the dark and used to know it so well and miss it. I think If every I go back to the parks I want to ride both sides 10 times.

I'm not sure why it jumped to the front of my mind...I haven't heard it in years, but I found myself singing the entire thing. I guess it's one of those things that lies dormant, but intact, for who knows how long.

We sang it too, but it didn't sound like a dirge. We put some spirit into it. Every once in a while, I'll find a defination "Canal of song" in a crossword puzzle.
