I'm back
I know I have been silent for way to long and I am now ready and able to reviel what happened.
It all started two december ago, when I was ticked by the FHP for an expired tag. No big pay it and take the eighty dollar fine as a lesson learned. Unfortunatly, even though I took the day off, payed the fine, the people at the court house, never credited me as paying. So the following december they suspended my license for non payment. I never knew this due to the fact that my ex-roomate never gave me my mail.
Fast foward to October of that year, Steph and Me decided to ditch out of our lease as we had determained that my Ex-roomate was about to do the same. So on the 31 we left. Everything was going fine until I got a ticket for running a red light. ( I still say it was green, and at two in the morning who cares) Low and behold, I get told that the $180 ticket was now goig to cost me another $240. Later at the court, I was told that I had to pay $500 (80+180+240) plus another $50 in fees to the DMV to reinstate my license, an amount that nobody who works for Disney in Transportation has. SO for eight weeks I spent every minuet I cold spare at the courthouse before work trying to find anyone that might help me, but I failed.
Then as if things were not bad enough, by Feburary, Disney found out that I didn't have a license and had me removed for the monorail department and placed me in DTD merch. On top of which, I had to take a $0.50 pay cut. Needless to say, I was pretty f-ed up financially. Then came the depression. I felt hopeless, and I started acting out my frustration by calling in sick. It got really bad and I recieved my third repremand in June. Thankfully my management staff saw there was a problem and took steps to help me.
I can now say that I am much better. Still no license, but better.

VISA. It's everywhere you want to be, and a lot of places you don't.

Oh no! I am sorry you had to go through all that. And I am glad to hear that you are doing better. :)

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

I'm glad you're doing better. City hall can be such a bunch of %^&$%. I had a situation that was similar a while back and followed a rule my father told me. Whenever you're dealing with the government, keep any receipt until the day you die!! :p:

I missed you so much and hope you can get the matter rectified. There has to be a cheap and good lawyer to sue their butts off. If you need finances I would give you $5. This is the best therapy around and the nicest group of people especially Wallaby and Purpura and felinefan. Com ehome to a place where everyone knows your name and cares about you and will listen to your rants and then tell you some funny SG tales.
Big hugs and mmissed you so much

As one who has worked for local government since finishing college, most of it in traffic court, I have my own opinion on this.TdcOgre wrote:I'm glad you're doing better. It's not a different opinion, though. TdcOgre's right, keep every piece of paper you get forever.

Lord don't you just love government? I agree with the others as I"m sure you now do, don't throw anything away. Even in the future if someone calls you a pack rat. You never know. I"m sorry to hear you have been down. Hope when you get your license back your back to the monorail. Gotta love those things.
