It was NYE in Mexico....

Post by Paragon » Tue Jan 06, 2009 5:08 pm

Hey, I got invited to a 3 Kings Day celebration in Mexico today. I asked them how their NYE was and if anything exciting happened. One young man told me this story:

Seems some guests from Costa Rica arrived the night before. Some of the family had gone to the MK, and this older woman had come to EPCOT and was in the Mexico pavilion. MK was in Phase 1 or 2 by now. This lady said that her family was in front of the castle and she needed them to come meet her in EPCOT.

She wanted someone to go to the MK, find her family, and bring them to EPCOT. On NYE. No, seriously. Stop giggling! I mean it!

Of course, this wasn't happening, and this kid tried to explain to her that she was crazy--I mean, just not realistic. She became irate, and threatened to SUE him and Disney. Somehow this was all Disney's fault.

Guest Relations said to do whatever regarding tickets. I take that to mean that she would be allowed into the MK to find her family, and consult the family lawyer. Maybe she had bought a one-day, one park, and they were going to comp her into MK.

I didn't get the end of the story, but I'm sure this kid is going to be served with a summons and complaint when he is back in Mexico. Yeah, right.

Different phases of closing. Each phase denies more types of people entry into the park. First phase is simply closing the parking lot so anybody driving can't get in. I only know a little about the phases but I know that resort guests (and maybe APs) are let in for the longest.

Once a certain number of people are inside the park the closings start until the very last phase where nobody gets in at all.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

The facts are explained to them and if they do not leave then security steps in and it they still will not leave then they can get escorted by security off the premises or for the ultimate idiot the local jail.

DLR used to let people wander around outside the closed parks but if someone was banging on the gates and making a scene then bye bye annoying pest. Parks also have regular closing schedules like clean out a land and have security stationed to keep people from going back in. Those were fun times, sigh.

That would be funny to see a kid in front of his class and reading his report.

That had me laughing. I can seriously see SG getting busted for being stupid and then getting busted.

Wait, my friend is a security officer. He said New Years Eve, there was a bunch of teenagers that got busted for being drunk at Disneyland. I wonder how the bag checkers missed that? I heard that a few fox units had been following the teens. When the foxes busted them, the teens were taken away by Anaheim quite quickly.

My sister and I were in the park and the SG were just idiots. I wanted to slap a few that got in the cast member's faces when they could not have their way. If the SG wanted their ways, there are 2 Burger Kings near the parks. Burger King- Have it your way! Just stay away from crowded parks when it is holiday season, because you can't have it your way!!

Apparently, this guest was not even drunk. And the family was on their first visit to WDW.

Clue. Less.
