Re: Virtual Monorail, or How I'm Spending My Summer Vacation...
Regarding the Speed Zones, it's very interesting to ride a Monorail on a beam in reverse, in situations where the speed zones are the same both ways. On the Express beam, the speeds are different depending on which way you're going.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Can't tell in Trainz because the controls are only functional going forward which is a bummer.... :(Big Wallaby wrote:Regarding the Speed Zones, it's very interesting to ride a Monorail on a beam in reverse, in situations where the speed zones are the same both ways. Um, Monorail Red? Nice sig file, but I believe you have the MK station backwards. The entry/exit ramps are on the Contemporary end, not the GF. Thought you might want to know.

Thanks!
Yeah I noticed that, but I didn't create it (got it from PhotoBucket)
I have a new one in the works that I'm making as we speak... :D:

I'm at least working on the spiels. I'm having trouble implementing the between-station spiels, but at least I've been able to fix the station-oriented announcements. The guy or guys who did the Monorail Project had it so the "Please stand clear of the doors" spiel was triggered as the trains were arrivingMonorail_Red wrote:Now that would be awesome...
Only if I had the time to model the MAPO system...not even sure if it's possible to run something like that in the Trainz environment...I would also like to re-do the controls to the current sytle, but, then it will make things smaller on the screen, harder to see...I would like to make a functional door control as well, the spiels, etc. Maybe this summer if I have time...

Plus I'm running Vista right now and Trainz doesn't like Vista. I got it to work, after realizing that I had lost about 4hrs worth of work I didBRWombat wrote:I'm at least working on the spiels. The guy or guys who did the Monorail Project had it so the "Please stand clear of the doors" spiel was triggered as the trains were arrivingand then the "Please move all the way across your car" line as the train was loading. My stations now have a station-specific "Ladies and gentlemen, we are approaching..." spiel, a station-specific "This is the [whatever] station" announcement on arrival, and the "Please stand clear of doors" audio appended to the loading spiel.
