I don't understand. You can't use a FP from another date can you? Why would you pay $250.00 for FP that are no good?

I didn't see a disclaimer. Instead he actually says:

Well, PapaMouse'seems like a set up to the "buyer" that they might not work, plus, to some buyers, it would seem to them that if they went to Security to complain, they would be laughed at (for good cause, I might add)

Reminds me of friends at work, who knowing my fondness for WDW and DLR, was asking me about visiting WDW for vacation.

I was telling them about the different hotels that they might like, the different levels of service, and so forth. During the conversation, they told me that they planned on getting "hopping" tickets (their words) and were going to visit Disneyland (I assume they meant the Magic Kingdom) one morning, Epcot that afternoon, then the next day visit the Disney zoo (Yes, I know) and that afternoon go to the Disney Universal Movies (yeah DUM!!!)

After a pause, I asked them when they had decided that, and they said that they had read some excerpts of a book on the internet that told them they could see everything in a few days (??) and that to do that, they could buy "front passes" that could whisk them to the head of the line! (Yeah I was starting to giggle, very undignified at the office!!)

Now THEY would be stooopid enought to spend money on something on E-bay that they could get for themselves.

I did tell them that they COULD possibly see all four parks in two days, but it would be more of a "walk through" with little or riding on attractions, and probably no fun!! (and a total waste of park tickets)

I referred them to the Disney web site, with the planner for park visits.

I remember DLR and the new FP, wow neat idea but then it got out of hand. People sending runners out to get more passes and planning the trip around them passes. The waste of having to run and fix the machines, employees wasting time on them, and the cost of the FP. They should look more into ride design and how to make the lines more efficient. I remember when we saw the whole park in one day and that was before the keelboats, motorboats, skyway, circlevision and other rides were yanked. I do not like FP as it is unfair to guests who want to ride but arrive in the afternoon and still have to wait. 3PM get in line as there are no more FP or you can get on for closing time when there will be a short line. Mean time people with teens can run from FP to FP and get the passes while the slow movers get left behind.

Abuse is rampant and easy. Just bring granny and some 4 year olds so that you get 4 extra FPs for granny and gramps and the little kids. Bring Uncle Henry who cannot ride the rides to get a GAC and use his ticket to get FP.

We only get fastpasses for Space Mountain, as we get there at park opening and pretty much walk on everything else we like....
Good question, what to do between posts....Maybe SGT can play a little Muzak or the theme from Jeopardy? ;)

I read all the new posts and stack up the responses, try to limit myself to less than 50 posts a day, and play Pogo games while waiting. I was researching the missing avatars and notied that I post a lot but not as much as I used to. Good training from members of this site helped.

I wonder if we are allowed to make a thread called" Waiting to post thread but then posting there would double our wait time. We could make 15 accounts, lol.

That's my thought. This guy knows where the override is at and presses it when the CM is distracted (probably has someone to distract the CM too).

The other thing is that you probably have Cast Members working at a FastPass bank, doing what I do (I say do... I assume I'll work in Attractions again at some point... JUNGLE CRUISE!), but with a different mindset. I always keep one machine (a different one each time) set so that the override button is active, and with that if someone has a problem that an override was the best solution, I can get it for them with little effort. Granted, if I am walking away for more than about ten seconds, I turn it off so that people can't abuse it, but most Cast Members won't watch so closely. It would be far to easy if you know where the override is (sadly not hard to find) to print override tickets, which don't look that different from regular tickets...

If you work in attractions, make sure you're very careful that this guy can't come up and use your machines!

It's sad... I love when someone becomes innovative and comes up with a new business. I love seeing their business flourish... especially in our current economy. But I don't want to see it flourish when the way it works borders on the criminal.

Now granted, I am not saying that this guy IS criminal... maybe he has a legitemate way that he makes this work. But I would really like to know what it is. Until then, he's a crook until proven innocent as far as I'm concerned.

Once again, for the sake of the Magic we strive to create every day, watch out for people like this. Obviously, he understands the system and has some way to exploit it. The worst is if he does it using the help of some well-meaning Cast Members...
