Buying a turkey can save a life

Post by Christine43 » Wed Nov 26, 2008 9:03 am

I thought you all might appreciate this story, it was on tv and in the paper so you might already be aware of it. I tried to find the article but couldn't so I'll paraphrase:
This guy in NC robbed a gas station and then proceeded to sprint across the street to a mall parking lot to steal a car. He started beating up this poor woman until a good samaritan, armed with a frozen Thanksgiving turkey, came to the rescue. He began to rain blows upon the carjacker's head with said turkey. The carjacker somehow still managed to get away but was apprehended shortly afterward by the law. The woman is fine, the carjacker is spending Thanksgiving in jail and the turkey wielder is now a celebrity.
Happy Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING :turkey: TO EVERYONE AT SGT!!!!!!!!
Yes, a turkey can save a life, as long as afterward you cook it properly and don't set it on fire ;)

We were approached on the way out to the parking garage last time we went to DLR....Some gal was out there asking Hubby if we were APs and eyeing the bags of stuff we bought. She probably was just looking for used tickets, but she creeped me out! I decided that if she made a move, I'd hit her upside the head with my purse heavy with pins! :p:

The real turkeys are the ones who use the holidays as a license to steal.
