Official SGT ADD thread
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Re: Official SGT ADD thread
This morning I came out of my apartment with the hubby to get me to a 6:30 AM Shift. We saw an elderly black female cat sitting on a shelf thing that was between my apartment and the manager's. The cat had golden yellow eyes
My hubby went and got a litter pan and some food from my mom in law's house and then brought it back to the apartment. I worked all day. When the hubby came back to our apartment he opened the door and brought the stuff inside. The female cat followed him into the apartment. He got the stuff and her into the bathroom where he figured she would feel safest.
Poor dear was hungry and ate some of the food. We think she was sick because my hubby found she had runny wastes. He came to get me, and we just got back from taking her to a vet that handles emergency animal care.
Due to the fact we couldn't take care of her with space, or financially we had to turn her over to them. We also figured that she is probably going to have to be put down. We also couldn't decide whether to call her Angel, or Fantine. The last thing I did was give her a little stroke on the head, and she looked up at me as if to say "Thank you" without a sound.

You did good! She may get put down but at least she had one good day where she had someone watching over her!
And now I'm crying...Not good when I have to work a dance/concert for 15,000. Doors open in 45min. and we still have no band busses on the loading dock yet.

Re: Official SGT ADD thread
There are times when I just want to yell, scream and pound guests into a bloody pulp.
Do I do it? No.
Why? Because I have that Guest Service attitude deep in my veins.
Even though my cheek hurts from biting it, my knuckles are white from clenching them at the last idiot that asked if I would gave them a $60 dollar rate who then said I was a bitch for not taking cash (we only accept credit cards because of damaged/stolen items) when he agreed to pay the real rate and walked out anyway.
I don't jump over the counter and slap the everloving crap out of folks that so desperately need it, I don't contradict guests who are wrong and still say they're right even when I give them evidence to the contrary.
I don't punch the jackass that made up a million lies to get out of paying his bill. I sure as hell don't tell him he's a fucking liar either. No, I stand there and take it. But we still get your money even if you're an ass.
Why do these people try the same nonsense over and over again? Granted, maybe they have gotten away with it 50, 100, 1000 times. But guess what?
YOU'RE ON MY TURF NOW. DEAL WITH IT.

Okay, we are at 4 hours into this event with 2 more to go. So far, we have had a person report their friend missing, a 30 yr old female pass out due to to much drinking and a fight between 2 guys. Must be a slow night. Oh wait, here comes another First Aid call...passed out female.

"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

The San Jose Convention Center. Tickets are $65.00 to get in. Beer is $7.00 and they just had to break up another fight. I think the total attendance will be in the neighborhood of 15,000 but the BIG dances that use all 3 Exhibit Halls easily top 18,000 people.
