DLR to Raise Ticket Prices

Post by glendalais » Tue Nov 11, 2008 2:15 pm

You did not read that wrong. Despite the economy being in Free Fall, cutbacks across the Parks and Resorts division, and bookings being down dramatically, the DLR is still considering raising our One-Day, One-Park tickets from $69 to $72 come January.

Combined with the State Government's proposal to expand the Sales Tax to include services (such as Theme Park Admissions), the means the price of a one-day, one-park ticket would come uncomfortably close to $80.

MousePlanet: 80 Bucks?!?

You have to wonder what people up at TDA are thinking. Raising ticket prices at the same time that the State is imposing a sales tax. Have they no sense of self-preservation (I can't imagine they would keep their jobs very long if attendance nosedives as a result) .

Hey, maybe they're just finally going to give you across-the-board raises!

Sorry, don't know what came over me. Back to reality...

Arrgh, on the heels of that came this USA Today article today.

http://www.usatoday.com/travel/hotels/2 ... line_N.htm

So it will almost cost less for your hotel room than a Disneyland ticket?!?!

WTF.

That's ridiculous.

Thanks a lot...

What's the surprise?

WDW went up on ticket prices a month or so ago. $75 + tax one day one park ticket and $12 to park.

I thought that DLR went up the same time.

And a Pepe le Pew air freshener hanging from the mirror when you pick up your car. Oh, wait a minute, Pepe belongs to Warners.
