So I received my AP email saying go go look at what we've done to Disneyland for X-mas.
OMG.
I went last year, but I don't remember this. Am I losing my mind?
Did the castle look like this last year? I swear I must be going crazy. I saw the decor but not the
BLUENESS of it all. Or the snow either.
Please don't shoot me for being a non-observant...
^^ Hey, that's me! ^^

I saw the castle on Friday and it looked different. I don't remember seeing it that decorated. The picture that you have posted looks cool. ;)

The usual longtime reader, firsttime poster comment....
Glad you're getting the icicles this year, too! Last year was the first for WDW and (I think) Disney Tokyo.
I'm coming out of hiding just to share Cinderella's Castle 2007. ;)

Pictures don't do the lights on Cinderella Castle justice. Not by a long shot. Got a quick glance of them after my shift Saturday during the vast preview of the lights and the parade (left before the parade but wanted to see the lights) and they are beautiful. Didn't have a great view because of all the cast lining up and down Main Street waiting for the parade but the view was good enough to be impressed.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

On hold on, hold on a second....
Everyone, last year (holiday 2007) the castle DID look that way at night. Icicles and all.
I am NOT crazy. I am a local. Last year was the first time they did it, and I distinctly remember some of the other Disney fan boards discussing it.
The only problem is, I can't find any pictures from holiday 07.
But I KNOW that last year was the first time they did that to the castle!
Please, ya gotta believe me. :( ........................EDIT: Ah! Here ya go, please note this is from November 2007;

Yeah, I remember it this way last year too. It was really beautiful, but yes, it was this way last year. And it doesn't just turn on, over a couple of minutes it goes from no lights to everything while a little audio about Christmas is playing. Does it do that this year again?
TT

I'm sure they will do the same little audio show. I don't see why not.
And yes, its very beautiful. The castle also looks very nice during the day too.
