I don't want to be a stick in the mud, but my honest reaction is... "Why?" The people here are probably already the most Disney-knowledgeable there are. If you have some amusing anecdotes or unusual facts, cool, post them -- but I'm just not sure there's a market here for full-blown Disney history lessons...

Love ya anyway! :)

If it makes you happy to make a LESSON, feel free. Just note that A LOT of people here have more than just a smattering of knowledge about DLR and WDW!

(have read a lot about the airstrip (it was even mentioned in a behind the scene's tour) MAPO and other stuff.)

How about stuff that the normal non-CM wouldn't know. Like...Hmm, How is the food quality and selection in the CM's cafeteria? Do you have funny stories about newbie CM's? How about guests that are not SG's, but simply over exurbant about the Disney experience?

that kind of stuff would be interesting!!

I'm interested in the specifications for the Kaleidophonic Wall from the first two installations of the Carousel of Progress. It didn't make it to Florida, and I need some data on it. I do have access to the patent on the design, just not the specifics of the installation.

Piss poor hours in most places. The kiosks are OK. At the Mousecateria, you can at least get Subway and at Pride Rock, Sbaro.

The cafe at Westgate (bus, ferry boat, monorail and parking central) is open at 6am and closes at 1:30pm. Main St Bistro (should be condemed) closes by 5pm. The outlying cast service buildings that have food service all close by 3:30pm. (Well I don't know about all of them but POR and CBR do)

And the food at the DLR for CM's ain't much better if not worse. Our "restaurants" are handled by SoDexHo, which means they are partly owned by Magic Johnson(yep, the one you're thinking of) and since we were switched over, the food is supposedly HEALTHIER(ok, I'll give that one), but it's WAY more expensive and the prices keep rising. Sure, I'll pay $7 or more for LUNCH--NOT!!! I can go to McD's for less than that, but of course, I only have a 30 minute lunch, so I'm kinda stuck bringing my own food or going to the roach coach (better food, lower prices!).

Unfortunately, in my situation at CBR, you don't even really have the option of going to the cafeteria over at Cast Services since you're nowhere near it if you happen to work at the Custom House (front desk/bell services)...you'd waste a good part of your lunch break driving back and forth! LOL.

The only I liked about being deployed at Pop was that if you wanted a hot meal, you didn't have to high tail it over to CBR/Pop Cast Services - as at least there was an additional Cast cafeteria backstage at Classic Hall.

Does that explain the CMs in costume that I have seen wandering Epcot carrying a bag of subway? BAD SHOW.
