Lagniappe the Mime...Terminated.

Post by SweetAurora » Tue Sep 14, 2004 8:39 pm

It's been reported that Lagniappe, the famous unicycling mime from New Orleans Square, has been given his two-week notice. They have been trying to cut the budget on Entertainment recently.

What was that line from "Robin Hood, Men In Tights"? Oh yeah... "A mime....is a terrible thing to waste."

So what does everyone think? I didn't really like his antics until he came up to my friend (who works the Parasol Cart) and I and, in mime, explained to us his days of working as a nude model in order to become a professional mime. I'm serious. He used umbrellas to cover himself and everything.

I really hope hes not being ousted. I remember him from the Orange County Fair. He used to open for all the bands that were performing. When my family and I saw him at dland a few years ago, we were really excited to see him. Anyways, if they are trying to cut budgets then maybe they will make him a ct and work him during the busy season. If it is true that hes leaving for good, he will be missed and i wish him luck!

I love him! Tim (so tempting to use his last name we all call him that anyway) the lead was going over Fantasmic! stuff by the gallery stairs and he was making fun of Tim mimicking him. He's a trip to see around and I think the guests get a kick out of him too.

Cutting the unique talent guests enjoy, while keeping rotten apples. & I had such GREAT hopes for DL'S 50th. Oh hell!

Is this mime non other than Mark W[deleted] (sp)? If so, he used to work at SeaWorld when I was a mere lad. He was the best! I will never, ever forget his lycra tights!

I thought he was kind of cool. He wasn't very animated compared to most mimes. Most mimes I've seen are constantly rowing boats, walking down stairs, and getting trapped in boxes.

Yes, one in the same. Mark W[deleted] is from San Diego. Now remember Mark from trips to SeaWorld. Forgot he was there GapToothed. Thanks for the memory. Mark won Stanford Research Institute recognition & is known throughout the world. Mark will be missed in NOS!! He'll have no prob finding employment. Another DLR Entertainment STUPID mistake & HUGE loss :bang:
