Yeah, I changed the screen resolution. Got my buttons back on my Yahoo toolbar. Loading and installing 80+ updates. Still no 100% thingy that allows one to change print size on screen, though. Got SP2 back and hopefully can get SP3 back. Tried making my own recovery disks, but the first one wouldn't come out of the drive without a struggle; usually the drive works with no problem. Haven't gotten the other 6 disks done since, and when I tried using the one to boot up with, had to go back to System Recovery.

Is anyone familiar with the allbootdisks site, and is it legit?
Umm, sorry, I back up to tape (incremental) and a TB server (full), plus make my own recovery CD's.

Never used the site you asked about.

Got the zoom feature back after reloading SP3. So now everything's back to normal. The last time I checked that site out, they gave you the option to download, or you could send off for the disks for a small s/h charge. I didn't see that. Understandably, I'm nervous about downloading something from a relatively unknown source. Especially since it doesn't seem to have an "About Us" link. Maybe I should let Microsoft know, see what they say. Or check it out on ripoffreport.

I am sure they know about it. What I did was get (from microsoft) SP2 and SP3 on disc for XP. then If I have to re-install, I spend minimal time getting the updated patches on-line.

but I am now running Vista on two of our laptops, and linux and a couple of my shuttles. DW still likes XP, but is starting to like Vista once her sewing machine programs came out with Vista patches.

This site is acting up again--you click on new posts, and it only shows the one that was just posted, instead of the ones posted today. It's getting very tiresome to have to go down to "Search Forums" and go through them one by one.

Actually, the majority of the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack were Saudi citizens.

Like I said, that Cheneyism was debunked years ago.

While I think that much of it is nothing but conspiracy theorists rantings, check out something called "Fabled Enemies." I think Youtube has segments of it. "I'm not sayin' they're right but I ain't sayin' they're wrong."

Don't know about allbootdisks, I usually use bootdisk.com

Hey Churchy! Take NOTES! Last night, the hubby found a bear like "Pudgy" and brought him home to me. He had a hole in his back, and needed emergency surgery. Check Pudgy's back, and if you see stuffing let us know, and I can bring a sewing kit up some time to do back surgery.

I'm still trying to think of a name for him, and he loves Midnight- the bear you sent to me via the hubby.
