While most of the clubs can go to hell for all I care as they weren't unique closing the Adventurer's Club and, to a lesser extent, Comedy Warehouse is an unforgivable sin IMO. Someone is going to answer to God come Judgment Day for closing the AC! There is no place like it anywhere. Very unique and lots of fun.
I no longer live in the Mask Room as my title used to say, sadly I've been evicted from it. My old title came from a trip to the AC with BW one time. We were in the Mask Room and Hathaway Browne was picking on me. He asked where I was from and not thinking I said "from here" and he said "the Mask Room?" and I played along and said yes. He said that explained the sleeping bag found in there and other things along those lines. Lots of fun so since then I have "lived in the Mask Room" but with the closing of the club I've naturally been evicted.
Another homeless cast member living on the streets. What is this world coming to? :( I'll add a buck to Glendalais' donation to help find Shorty a home.
Our last visits to AC and Comedy Club were also with BW which makes the memories even more bittersweet. Not that we'll never see BW again, in fact we hope to meet up with him and Shorty, and meet a few more CMs in person, during our visit in November. It's just sad to think that the AC is no longer a destination for an evening's entertainment. :( There sure has been a hue and cry about having it reopen somewhere else, maybe Animal Kingdom, but then they'd have to keep the park open longer which they won't do on a regular basis. If anyone has heard any rumors about whether and to where the AC might be moved, be sure and let us know.

I've heard a rumor about reopening the AC but I won't say where except to say it's not at DAK.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

It breaks my heart to see wonderful people out of work. All for some stupid decision to "rake in the dollars" for the company. It always hurts to see actors losing their work. True they can be relocated to various other roles in WDW Entertainment, but some great great personalities were brought to life at the AC.
Must all Disney places be dumbed down by making it Family Friendly? A term I'm coming to hate passionately because of all this PI "Hoopla". Good God there is enough places on property where parents can drag their over scheduled 6 year olds at midnight for a fun time. And a place to eat and buy more? With THIS kind of an economy? BITE ME!

I will definitely miss AC....kudos and thanks to the awesome performers there, and all the PI CM's for all their hard work!
Come next month, I'll be the one standing by the remains of the AC, holding whatever beverage I can get my hands on, screaming "KUNGALOOSH, DAMMIT!!"

Actually, "Forever" may be somewhat overstating the facts.
I had a very nice dinner at the Adventurers Club on Saturday with Dave Smith. While it was sad to see that SGs had ripped one of the masks off the wall and turned even the upholstery buttons from the settee into souvenirs, I have to say the place is much nicer without the thick crowds that were there the week before.
They have also just replaced the handles and control levers for most of the puppets in the Club, so perhaps even the term "closed" may be subject to interpretation.
In any event, there's nearly a year's worth of private parties scheduled at the various venues on the Island, so don't look for major changes here any time soon.
Kungaloosh!

I tried planting one of the Jinkies that spilled from off of the stage. Dammit, I guess "cereal" does not grow too well.

I think I know that voice.... One of the gents that works at Haunted Mansion at Disneyland... Can't remember his name, but he has dark hair and a mustache, and makes me laugh, and I've talked to him when he's been at Inn Between, the rare times when we've been there at the same time.
Hehe My response for him saying "I have no reason to live" is for him to Haunt the Mansion in California. Heehee
