You won't get there any faster!

Post by Cranbiz » Mon Sep 29, 2008 11:02 pm

Ok, so last night I'm driving at DTD. It's about 7:30pm and I'm going to CBR. I stop at the marketplace and drop off my guests, and there was no one there to pickup. No problems, now lets head over to PI. Stop there and the last few guests get off but before I can close the rear doors, a bunch of SG's charge on and beat feet for the front of the bus. I get on the PA, and state that we board only thru the front doors but of cource the SG's don't listen. I finally get the back doors closed. Now the guests at the front of the line start to board and what do you know, The first guest has a large stroller. I'm driving a RTS, the bus that you climb stairs to get on and has narrow isles.
Stroller guy folds said large stroller and boards. Now, because it's a large souvineer holder, it is difficult to move in the bus. He wacks this woman SG in the knee and immediatly she starts to loudly bitch about her sore knee and how he hurt her.

Ok, I stop loading at that time and ask her if she wants medical attention. No, she wants ice, Ask again, no she wants ice and an apology from the stroller guy. I ask one last time and she shouts at me that she was OK and now wants stroller guys name and resort (duh, we are going to CBR!). At that time, I politely state that this incident would not have happened at all if she waited her turn in line and let the stroller guy on first (as he WAS first in line), did not enter thru the doors that stated clearly, DO NOT ENTER and then blow thru the last of the guests who were trying to get off the bus to get a front seat. She now starts to blow a gasket, and I politely offer an manager to speak to, but she would need to wait for him at the load zone (well, no she did not have to, but thats what I told her) Stroller guy came back to apologize but then added if she did not cut the line, he would not have had to manouver around her. At that time she just shut up and stewed in her seat. She bailed at Martenique, to the cheers of the rest of the bus!

Now, did she really think that she was going to get to CBR any faster by barging in? Most SG's who sneak in the rear doors head for the back anyway.

Did she really think that I was going to make another guest apologize? (she don't know me very well, do she)

I'm sure that she was looking for some sort of comp, but in telling her she had to wait for a manager, I'm sure that getting back to the resort was far more important to her than waiting perhaps 30 minutes to an hour for the next available transport after speaking to the manager.

You should have offered her a free bus ride to her resort :)

I have seen SG like that at the All Star Sports Resort when I went with my sister and a family friend in Sept. These ladies would get on the bus and ask the driver if they can be dropped off some where else instead of where the bus was going. Most of the drivers would say, sorry. You have to catch the correct bus. These SG would have hissy fits. If they had to stand up in the back of the bus, they would complain about it.

It is like the drivers on Katella. This morning I was going down Katella to go to the park. This guy in a blue BMW was speeding and tried to cut me and another driver off. This dude made a bad mistake, there are the blue CR&R trash trucks. He got caught behind one and there was a sherrif next to the trash truck. I looked at the driver and said "SUCKER!" I know it was not nice, but I knew the driver could no longer cut anyone off.

YAY! :D:
I love it when you can point out how their own stupidity has caused the problem they are complaining about!

Sadly, I'm wouldn't be surprised if she went over to the Custom House at CBR and some 'lucky' front desk CM had to listen to her

Does anyone know about this Sunday's events at Disneyland and what parts of the park will stay open? I heard it is going to be a zoo.
