Three Across
The new boats for IASW have three across seating vs. four across in the old boats. That lends credence to the "heavier guest" theory.
Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Sorry Hobie, you're wrong.....IASW always had three across seating, at least in Disneyland. Can't speak for WDW. Pirates has four across however. My eyes must be going bad. I looked at some pictures of old boats and they sure looked like four across.

Is Disney focused on making people hurl before the ride, thereby eliminating the need for barfbags on the ride? Although, Small World doesn't really need barfbags...
