Pluto Patrol

Post by Stduck » Sun Sep 05, 2004 1:51 am

This is going to be a lengthy post but here goes.

I was at pooh today and I was grouping when we go 101. I was told to lock out and tag out then go question the people in the Beehive right at the exit tunnel. Apparently a bag had dropped from said beehive onto the pressure mats causing an auto e-stop. So I asked the group in question if they had dropped a bag in the attraction. They told me no nor did they make any indication that they had dropped a bag. So I told the cast member who was in charge (the lead was eating dinner at the dec) what I had learned. I got to then stand and monitor the beehive untill we finished evacuation. Then the manager told use we could not detain the juvenille morons that they were and we evaced them last.

Then the fun part. I tag back in then go and hold a perimeter at the exit to Pooh. We kicked all the guests out of the corner where the benches are next to the one door by the pooh corner shop. Then stores came over to offer help. The Pooh GC lead told them we had it under control. Then a character host came by to find out what was up. We told him and informed him he did not need to move the characters and guests and we would inform him should the need arise. Then we told the Splash lead. Security told us they were bringing in the pluto patrol and one security guard commented "It the dog sits I'm ERing". Which made us really nervous. I was promptly sent on break.

There ended up being 2 lost bags in the attraction. One was claimed and the other confiscated by security. Needless to say this the second suspicious package I have delt with. So stupid guests not claiming dropped bags cause hour and a half down times.

They wanted to help us hold a perimeter which had 2 security, 2 ROs and one lead.

i had one on main street, i hate it when paople won't change direction, and you can't tell them why you're telling them to move, i really wanted to just yell "THERE'S A FUCKING BOMB!!!! GO AROUND!" but then i'd have to swear on stage, and it could have been like nerve gas or something...

Naw I just scare them  by telling them that a wild animal is loose in the building and for the saftey to everyone in the complex so they dont get rabies we have to leave. Not as in your face as bomb but a bit on the 0_o said enough to get them to move

Well this is actually the second suspicious package I have dealt with. The first was at the Mansion. A guest informed us that was a small cooler in the graveyard. I was at Tower you could see it on the monitors. Needless to say security kicked all of us out of the mansion and we had to establish some sort of perimeter around the front gate of the mansion. So we're trying to tell guests that we are experencing technical difficulties. The guests are pissed cause "NOTHING IS OPEN" (I believe in Indy and Splash were 101). It was good times.

Oh if only we could. Or when they ask you "Do you know if Indy is fixed yet" My response "I didn't even know Indy was down"

His number and tie-line was available on the portal last time I checked.

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."
