I mean the lady who was all but swinging on the handles and seeming to have a wonderful time doing it. She came into the station, train moving, twirling around several times. Then, as the door opened she plopped down. There was another guest in a wheelchair, one who was completely immobile, so I put that person's ramp down first. The family put the other ramp down themselves (backward), and I was able to get to them just before they got the person onto the ramp so I could turn it around. They asked why I didn't take care of them, I didn't care to open the can of worms that she didn't seem like she needed it when she was twirling around the pole. I guess I am just strange that way.
Please note, that last bit of snarkiness was directed at the family that yelled at me for helping someone else first, not anyone here.
Hey BW, it's all cool. Sounds like these people were idiots and I don't know how CM's keep their cool as much as they do. You rock.
I hate to see VIP cleaning mentioned anywhere online because I know people will try to take advantage of it. But as someone with serious mold and dust mite allergy and asthma in addition to all my other disabling problems, believe me when I tell you that getting a new shower curtain in a hotel room and a clean comforter (which they do not normally change in between guests only just so often, which totally freaks me out anyway) can and does make the difference between my spending my time out in the parks in the morning or spending it married to my nebulizer. We have tested this out having it done on some trips then not others till I realized it was really making that big a difference.
Also I spend much more time in my room- and in the bed specifically- than your average guest because of needing naps, frequently being too tired even in a wheelchair to manage the parks more than a day or two in a row... believe me, if they started charging a flat fee to do it before you come in, I will GLADLY pay for it!!!
Now as for the sunlight thing, that sounds like a crock to me LOL. Get one of those special lamps to take with you if you have SAD, but it's the sunshine state, for crying out loud. Sounds to me like they were trying to get a free view upgrade!
