Charater auditions

Post by coldfire409 » Mon Aug 30, 2004 4:05 pm

Hey everybody, I was wondering if anybody here has been through charater auditions. I have one comming up shortly. I'm also concerned about fitting into the costumes because I'm a little overweight. From what I've been told I"m in the Tigger height range. What I really want to do is prades and shows but I'll take the meet and greet.

I'm not sure if it works the same in Florida or not, but at DLR first they do a "height cut" which is where they measure you (and look at you) and if they're sure you won't fit into any costumes they'll cut you. Then there's dancing, improv, endurance, and finally fittings.

Best of luck! Let us know how you do!

I'm going out for fur charaters. I've considered to for a while, but shortly after I got ganster and bandit trained, which is should be a charater role, but is attractions.

i imagine that if you're a role character becoming a fuzzie shouldn't be too hard a task.

I had the audition today. I did probably one of the worst things you can do, fall durring the dance. I think that you have too many steps to do and not enough time to learn them. I was told that I only have to work on my dance steps so I may go out for it again in 6 months which is how long I have to wait.

I'm not sure if this is true or not (I'm guessing it is, since everyone I know who has done it has been cut from auditions), but if you fall, you're automatically cut. Good luck next time. It's seriously an awesome job. The smiles and the hugs are well worth the sweat and back aches.
