I was just wondering how you like working with the monorails in general. I'm thinking of doing it for the College Program next year (I have passion for Monorails). Any tips/suggestions? From talking to the other CMs, I heard that it can be alot of fun.
I was also wondering how things like parking, lunch breaks, shifts, etc. are coordinated.
Thanks!

Re: Question for WDW Monorail Pilots
First of all, welcome to SGT! An interesting question to start with... I just got into the department, so I can only tell you so much about it. But at this point I am having a blast, enjoy working with all the Cast and Managers, and have a great time messing with guests. I can tell you how things are coordinated now, but I am sure that will all be different next year. But I say go for it.

Re: Question for WDW Monorail Pilots
Thanks for the very warm welcome!
Again, I heard lots of great things not only about the WDWCP, but the Transportation role...specifically Monorails.
I actually just got back from WDW and another pilot told me that they currently have 30 CP's in monorails? I'll preference monorails and hope for the best....I'm not applying until next year, but still looking forward to it!

If I remember correctly, I think that I read somewhere that it was in the Chip & Dale parking lot at the TTC?kurtisnelson wrote:Where do you guys park and break?

Can a Pilot confirm this?

Not a pilot myself but best friends with BW so have picked up a few things.Monorail_Red wrote:If I remember correctly, I think that I read somewhere that it was in the Chip & Dale parking lot at the TTC?

I know that the Chip & Dale lot is where they park when working the TTC and MK stations. Don't know about the resorts or Epcot.
If at the TTC they break in the breakroom there. If MK they break in either the Front Entrance breakroom, the Main Street Breakroom (under Main Street) or the Backstage Bistro (behind Main Street), which ever they feel like going to. I've ran into BW in the MS Breakroom before and I've gone with him into the Front Entrance one once. I believe he goes to the MS one normally but on 15 minute breaks he'll go to the Front Entrance Breakroom because he doesn't really have enough time to head downstairs.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

It would be nice if he occasionally came back to the "Hill" to visit us lowly bus drivers.

What days do you work now? And how often do you get breaks there? I can't imagine getting in touch with you by showing up there but it would be very nice!Cranbiz wrote:It would be nice if he occasionally came back to the "Hill" to visit us lowly bus drivers.
