Prime Time SGs

Post by CMGUY89 » Wed Aug 20, 2008 6:48 pm

So a friend of mine were at Studios today at Prime time. When we sat down our "sister" was greeting us and another table when the stupidity began.

SG Dad interrupts the server and demands another kids menu, the server jokes back, "I just get here and I'm already getting demands...sheesh!" When the server returns and explains about the table manners and tells kids no elbows on the table and SG Kid 1 goes "NO!!!" The server continues unabated and tells the kids to set the table when SG Kid 2 says "This food is gross!" The server jokes back "I don't know how mom will feel about that!" Finally SG Mom says, "I want a new waitress, you are very rude and ignorant." The server responds that it is themed restaurant but SG Mom and Dad wouldn't have it. The new waiter came over and was apologetic but basically said "If you don't like it, leave." The SG family left and the whole section breathed a sigh of relief. I brought the waitress over and told her she did nothing wrong was demonstrating the basic of "I stay in character and play the part." I also left her about 35% tip and left her an applause-o-gram at GR. I was just so shocked at the sheer rudeness of these guests. Any thoughts???

Maybe they didn't realize it was part of the "atmosphere?"

I have had some friends ask me about going to WDW and DLR, and the theaming , etc.! I was telling them about that and other things to expect and be aware of, such as face costumes, how many Mickeys there are (ONE!!) and other tidbits. Quite a number are suprised at the professional way the CM's act and interact with guests! (I Guess they are used to the rudeness at other places)

(or they knew, and were just SG's!!)

I eat there all the time when I go there. Does anyone know if Claire will be there the week of Sept 11-18? :)

These are probably the same type of people who go to the Hard Rock Cafe and complain that the music is too loud. Uhh...

When I went to WDW over 12 years ago, I made sure I went to the Prime Time Cafe. Didn't care for the food, loved the atmosphere.

Wow. It seems that these particular SGs don't get why it's called a Theme Park  .

And yes, WDW does need Maynard. Though, given this, I fear that WDW SGs just might not get that he's being part of the show, and not weird *sigh*.

I guess my idea for a Disney restaurant wouldn't fly for these people.
