Everything is set and I am staying one night in the expensive hotel and 3 in motel 6. Renting a car and having fun.

Why am I crying then.
Mom won't let me go. She demands someone to be there around the clock. If it was me I would be using a walker and dragging myself to the toilet and around the yard but I would be free. I would be on busses to places and shopping. I would need people to come and be with her morning dinner and mid day. I do not see that happening as Tracy and Calvin wont do am duty. The house is run down and not safe let alone it is revolting to many. Purpura and CBeiley are the first outsiders in a long time to come in.

I want to go but will loose over $400 for the convention and airline tickets. I will loose all the gifts and raffles at the convention. I dont know what to do as I want a shower and nice bed to sleep in. I want to be able to not be screamed at 24 hours a day. I am so tired and she is killing me.

One week and not printed out stuff for the trip or done any packing or planning. I dont know where all of my pants are or what clothes I have any more. I am so tired, so tired. I want so bad to go. I would have to be there the first two days just to get the raffles stuff and be part of the convention. I need help but do not know where to turn.

Hugs
Laurie

OMG mech! There is so much to see & do in San Antonio! We were there 8 days & I could have stayed 10 more due to The River Walk & fantastic pre 1724 history of The Alamo. Of course The Alamo took on a whole diff meaning & fascination because I know the direct family descendents who owned The Alamo which was once a huge Texas Land Grant. Give San Antonio credit & a chance to shine. The city will amaze you.

I am all set to go.

The problem is that mom will not let go of me and wont let me go. I have people checking in on her. She does not need me but she is scared. I need babysitters and cannot find them let alone even dare let most people into the crappy old house.

I WANT TO GO SO MUCH.

she wont let me.

Churchy,
You just have to go. If you don't you will resent Mom. Assure her that people will be checking on her and you just go. She will be all right.

Just go, your mom will be fine.

Churchy, I say this with all the love and kindness I can muster: GO!!!!

Mom will be fine, and she needs to see that she'll be okay without having you at her beck and call (and maybe you need to see that, too?)! Either way, you need this break! GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

:cheerldr: Go Churchy, go Churchy, go Churchy... :cheerldr: :)

OK, Churchy, even when someone ISN'T demanding your attention 24 hours a day, YOU NEED A BREAK. Even my lovely family knows that sometimes it is best to leave DisneyMom alone or she'll be a major psycho
It sounds like you've made all the arrangements, go, and enjoy yourself. Life is too short, and the housekeeping that needs to be done will still be there whether or not you go.

Tell your mom you're going out for a pack of smokes. (you 'just' took up smoking).
When you get back, tell her you didn't like it as much as you thought you would.

[font="Palatino Linotype"]you NEED to go churchy...whether your mom wants you to go...wants to let you or not...you OWE it to yourself (and to your mother) to go...she may be upset, but it's YOUR life...if you don't go you'll resent your mother (more than you do now)...then when she's gone you'll resent her AND feel guilty...so do as BR says and
:cheerldr: go churchy go :cheerldr:

can some os you come to my house and be my back bone. She is the queen of guilt and now I must get all the house ready. I got to move so much stuff. I am going to try to take the bed out of the dining room so I can move stuff in there.

hugs and thanks for the support, cannot stop crying. Should be happy.
