Read it carefully, normally on a class action you send something in to get OUT of the suit, if you don't send something in you will automatically be included.

I am skeptical about this. I realized I worked in Orlando and not Anaheim, but I never once in three CPs had a break denied. If we got stopped by a guest or the person was late giving us the slip or CDS was late on the break, all we had to do was call a coordinator and they would tell us to take our full break. Sure CDS had issues, but at least in Fantasyland as long as we called the coordinators they would take care of it for us.

I also never had a problem losing breaks in entertainment. I've never known or heard anybody who had a problem in any area with breaks. Is there anybody from DLR who has had a problem?

The only thing class action suits do is make lawyers rich.

Not always. My grandfather was part of a class action lawsuit against his former railroad for asbestos in the diesel fuel that caused him and the other engineers lung problems. He got a very nice some, part of which was given to me and has helped to pay for my graduate education.

Good to hear your grandfather made out. The lawyer(s) took a minimum of one third of the settlement.

Things have improved, but they are still far from being perfect.

I've noticed that locations using cds finally got the
lunch timer fixed.

For years you would go by the slip of paper that was
handed to you for your lunch start and end times. Now,
you go back to cds and click lunch start and the time
gets adjusted on the screen.

Problem with this is, most cm's are still going by
the times on the slip of paper regardless which makes
them late if they "lunch start" before the beginning
time on the paper. Odd how no one is saying a word
about this.

I was also re-reading the suit claim form and by
participating, you agree to give up any further claims
that may develop in the future that occurred in this
period of time........ known or unknown.
That's a pretty big loophole just to get a quick few
bucks.

Every class action lawsuit notice I've gotten says something like that. Basically prevents you from participating in the class action suit and then suing the defendant on your own for the same thing in the future. Doesn't matter to me since I would never hire my own lawyers to sue these companies for these sort of things.

My department is notorious for people not getting breaks and lunches. Even now that they have "cracked down" on meal penalties we still average four or five a week. On top of that a good number of our leads rarely get a task-free lunch. Things have improved, but they are still far from being perfect.

Wow I cannot remember the last time, wait 1981, I had a lunch with no work, lol. Used to get up and do sweeping then pick up a burger and eat while driving.
