WDW Mouse "Friends" - HELP! DESPERATE!

Post by Sarah Magdalene » Mon Aug 04, 2008 7:03 pm

So here goes: I had requested the dates of August 10-16 off way back in March via Labor Service Center. They were approved and granted and I thought I was set. However upon checking my schedule for the upcoming week (hoping to see if anyone took a shift I had posted in the book for the 9th) I had seen that I was scheduled to work on the days they had granted off. After calling Labor Services, I was told that my dates of vacation were "lost" when I transfered from part time (when I made the request) to full time.

So now, I am scheduled days to work on a vacation that is already paid for.

So far, they are going to see what they can do for me. But in the meantime, they say that I ask around all people in Mouse range to see if any of them can pick up the shifts.

So please, any mouse heights .... HELP HELP HELP! I need people to take shifts!!!!! Heck, even if you are not a mouse but at least know of people who are friends of mice, direct them to this request cause I am DESPERATE to get rid of these shifts on August 9-16!

PM me for Details if interested!

I'd help out, but I'm more pooh sized. Pooh nothing, I'm fat ;)

Good luck!

I can understand if you had gone into a different department, but since you're still in Entertainment, i think they should still honor those requests that they approved. Rather than talking to Labor, talk to one of YOUR managers. Preferably one that is a sympathetic sort. Show them the approved time off requests.

Have a chat with your shop steward as well. There may be some precedent for honoring pre-approved vacations that they could help you with.

I wish I could but I am no longer at WDW. I can't think of any others our height in entertainment here on SGT. Definitely talk to a shop steward and your homeroom manager (forget scheduling at this point.) Also, there's the take my shift books and of course, beggin!

Get me a job and I would take all the shifts, lol. Definitely talk to the shop steward as that is not right.

The only shop steward I know in Entertainment is Sherese (sp?). She's in Toontown a lot, Ducky 1, and I'm pretty sure she's the only Ducky that actually bid Toontown.

Well, I perhaps drove Labor Services/Scheduling mad with all my phone calls this morning. It seems that NO I cannot have those days off, I need to put them in the book. However someone DID pick up one on the 9th for me, so that was settled.

I filled out out all my days I needed out in the shift exchange/give away book and even notified fellow like sized friends. I DID find a girl who had been disapproved in another character and was then put into the same friend role I was giving away (we shared it that day) and so she trying to see if she can have all my days replace her disapproved character place.

This involves jumping though MANY Hoops!

My attendant is also has union knowledge so he's seeing what he can do for me as well.

I'm cutting this close as I do leave on Saturday.
