After looking threw the list I FOUND THE BOY SCOUTS... WOOOOHHOOOOOO... so I must say that I changed my mind and donated to the BSA....
I must admit that I was wrong..... Save this post because I dont admit that easliy... seeing that I am right ALL THE TIME =-P

It was the same thing for me, my managers called me in and gave the whole spiel. I ended up only giving to the DLR Cast Community Fund, rather than the United Way.Shorty82 wrote:The day before yesterday one of my managers calls me over to the computer behind our area's desk and has me log into the Hub. She tells me how to get to the United Way page and gives me this little spiel about it. Without hesitation I chose the no donation option because of this thread. Even with that option the manager gave me a participation pin and said I could grab a bag of chips from a basket of them on my break. I forgot about the chips though, no big deal as I don't eat chips that often anyway.
Though I never did get a pin (though I was supposed to), or free food :( .

Driver Dylan, try the Salvation Army. They have one of the best records of making sure the money goes to those who need it most. They have very little administration overhead and you don't get a mountain of annoying letters asking for more money. Or address labels or stationary with your name on it. That stuff costs money -where do you think they get the money to print it?
I hope your situation turns for better soon.

Or you could do what Rockefeller used to do during the Depression--though a dime sure isn't worth what it was back then. :D: Ever hear of "Father Dollar Bill"? He's a priest in South Central L.A. who hands out ones, fives, tens, twenties, fifties, and even hundreds to poor people of the area, usually during holiday season.
