There's not an anole, gecko, sock or loose branch that's safe from that cute face. :D:

What a beautiful Wegie! I especially like his black nose. Quite a few cats like to drink from faucets like that; however, my Tripod is not one of them. Next time I get her some more treats, I'll figure out how to use the video function on my itty bitty digital camera, and try to catch her choosing which treats she wants to eat first!

Awww thanks FelineFan. Fred is a real character. He hardly ever drinks the water, just bites it like a mad man! Regarding his nose, Dean (DH) wanted to name him boogers but I put a stop to that real quick. He also knows how to turn on light switches and ceiling fans.

My cat it terrified of thunder.

Not that unusual, a lot of animals are.

What's funny about it though is as soon as there is any lound thunder claps she drops down as low as she can go and does a kind of commando crawl to hide under the nearest bed.

My Mom in law's littlest cat Tabitha can stand on the edge of an air conditioner. She's not very big, but she's fully grown to the size of a regular teenage size cat. She is the only one of the pounce of cats that can probably stand on the air conditioner in CBeilby's grandmother's den. 2 and a half inches of AC ledge inside and the rest of it is outside the window where it was installed.

We have a new cat at home, and have been rediscovering what an active kitten is like. He arrived when ten weeks old, and is only about 16 weeks now.

We decided to name him C.D. Romulus, Rom for short. (Insert comical cultural references here.) However, as we get to know him better, there's a minority movement to change his name to Count Vlad, The Impaler.

Right now he's napping next to my keyboard. To prevent him from helping me type, I've placed a beanie Bagheera next to the keyboard for him to use as a pillow. Freaked him out when he first saw it, as it was about as big as he was.

Our primary motivation for getting a third cat is that cat #2, Cleopatra Jones, is getting pretty fat at age 4, and we figured another cat would be the best exercise we could get her, seeing as how cat #1, Oliver Cromwell, is now 18 and arthritic. Mostly it's her ears and hisser that are getting the most work, but as he grows he's getting ever harder to ignore.

So far it's mostly just kitten stuff, but the stupid cat trick that gets him in the most trouble is that he doesn't understand what a bed is for. He thinks it's for pounce and bite practice, which isn't doing SWMBO's toes any good at all. OTOH, he is smart enough not to try that with me.

One of the few advantages to being Not-The-Mama.

Photos when and if I can get him to hold still long enough.

My mom loves to talk about this one cat she had here in the States that would go walk abouts in the neighborhood. Whenever he wanted back inside, he learned how to ring the doorbell to the correct apartment!

A golden retriever has adopted three tiger cubs at the Safari Zoological Park in Kansas after their mother rejected them.

In a related story, a 23 year old West Hollywood man has taken in a forty year old cougar.
