The guy doesn't understand or perhaps just doesn't care that those rules are meant for the safety of the guests. If everyone simply ignored the rules designed for the individual's safety, we would be in a hell of a mess.

I have seen and known people who view rules as mere advisories, which when broken without conquence, are a cause to rejoice. But what happens when someone is hirt trying to break a rule, are often the very first to sue.

If you read on in the article, the Slate was quite slammed with discussion about the article. The Slate, being edgy and pretentious, wrote about how silly it was that people felt that strongly about the article to write defending Disney. The feel I got from their discussion of the discussion (now THATS confusing) was that anyone who disagreed with the article was somwhow brainwashed by Disney and proved the article's point. I love circular thinking like that!

the article was biased and writteng only from an anti-amusement-park way of thinking. There is informative journalism where they uncover the underside of something but this did not show facts to support his hatred for Disney.

This guy really pisses me off. What bug crawled up his ass? So what if Disney is very consumeristic. Find me a place that isn't! It makes me so mad that he patronizes what we do, and what we like. I don't consider us a cult. I consider us a group of people that likes similar things. We don't force it on anyone else. It would be different if I set up a booth in the subway station and said "Hello Brother! Today I'm talking about the Disney Faith! Would you be interested in attending a timeshare presentation?"
