The thing that surprises me is that they got someone to sing that. For those who aren't gluttons for punishment, here are the best lines:

You've got an SUV
Four thousand pounds
But the moving wa-ha-hater
Can sweep you off the ground
Turn around don't drown!

_____________

Your body's swept away
It might never be found!
Turn around don't drown!

A song meant for IRLSG's.

Sad parts of the song?

A) The guy is really, really bad. I hope they didn't actually pay him.
B) He sounds really excited about what he's saying.
C) What's with having attempted guitar riffs? And yes, I say attempted for a reason.

Fresh water is far less damaging than salt water.

As long as it did not get into the engine's intake, you should be fine. Let it dry out, you should be fine.

If you got it in the intake, you would know as things would break quickly. Water is not compressable and breaks pistons, etc when taken in thru the intake.

The Weather Channel and National Weather Service can't catch anything. Mother Nature is sneaky at times. They can predict weather conditions with about 80% accuracy, and nature being what it is, that's about as good as it's gonna get. Anytime it's raining, assume there will be localized flooding. That's about the only time you can use the word assume without it getting divided ass/u/me.

Even while it was going on and roads were being closed no warnings were showing up. I did have to take it into get the interior shampooed and dried. I rolled down my window to tell somebody that O was probably not a good way to take and apparently cracked my back window a couple of inches. I did not discover until I went out to get something during a lull a few hours later. My entire back seat got soaked! Argh. At least it's taken care of and now my interior is nice and clean.

As far as how deep the water was- it's hard to tell but there were a couple of places on O where I'm a little surprised it didn't come in the bottom of my door. It was that deep. Had I known there was water on the road I wouldn't have gone through it, but you literally could not tell because of how dark it was and how hard it was raining.

A) I believe he volunteered to sing it since I believe he is a forecaster with the NWS. I just hope he is a better forecaster than he is a singer.

B) There are some really excitable meteorologists....and if you ever end up talking to one and ask "hows the weather?", you'll really regret that decision.

C) See A.

And I did warn that it was a really bad song.
