Well, for my most recent experience with sheeple look at http://www.stupidguesttricks.com/showth ... #post66138 it is a really funny story and a perfect example of sheeping.
It is always fun to have several people in your group and just stand around looking like you are waiting for something. It is always interesting to see how long it takes people to start a line behind you.

The one I've been noticing lately is when I stop to take a photo of something, other people will start taking the same shot. Sometimes, it'll take me a little bit to get the settings right, so people will stop to see what I'm photographing. The next thing I know, there's a bunch of other people around, taking the same photo, when there hadn't been anyone there before. And it's not like there's a character around or anything else iconic in the shot. It'll just be something random that's caught my eye. Next trip, I'll see how many people I can get to photograph a garbage can! :twisted:Lasolimu wrote:It is always fun to have several people in your group and just stand around looking like you are waiting for something. Re: Sheeple Sheeple Sheeple
The other day I noticed a weird opposite sheeple behavior. We went into One Man's Dream, and the Dream Squad was inside giving away Dream Fastpasses. It was totally dead so Mr. Syndrome and I were the only ones there for a few minutes. We were talking with the DS and trying to get our FPs undone because they were tangled. A man walks in with his family and gives us a wide berth...one of the DS people says, "Please step over here for a minute, sir." The guy looks scared and starts sidling away; I told him, "Trust me, you REALLY DO want to come over here." He still looked like a puppy about to be kicked, but he finally came over.
It seems to be a sheeple trait to be afraid when someone wants to give them something. I've had the same kind of reaction when trying to give away Fastpasses on my way out of the park. Maybe they think they're going to be roped into a timeshare pitch or something, but with the Dream Squad you'd think they'd at least be halfway aware of the giveaway. When I saw them, I practically bowled them over!

I got the same initial reaction last year when I gave away three admission tickets.Syndrome wrote:A man walks in with his family and gives us a wide berth...one of the DS people says, "Please step over here for a minute, sir." Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: Sheeple Sheeple Sheeple
i think this "aversion to free" is a product of the ME generation, where everyone is out to benefit themselves, and by extension, feel that no one would do anything for anyone else, unless it benefited them first (or solely).
I know i am very adverse to people stopping me in stores/malls/parks asking me for a moment of my time. I am expecting either a sob story, a sell, or a religious pitch.
Outside of Disney, i would expect a sell or a sob story, inside Disney, i wouldn't know...but i would be wary...

When you are here, if they are wearing white vests over blue shirts, DO NOT be wary!Canuikstan wrote:Outside of Disney, i would expect a sell or a sob story, inside Disney, i wouldn't know...but i would be wary...
