No way! It means you're excited to come see us and our place, and so that makes you one of the best kinds of guests to serve.

Sorry to be so hard on you. :D:

Now, imagine doing that drive from Portland to... Walt Disney World! And doing it in four and a half days! Little Wallaby and I were excited to come here, too.

Glad to be there for you! And with that attitude, at least all the Cast Members at SGT will be there to make this the best time ever for you. Make sure you get your First Visit buttons, draw a wallaby on it and we'll be watching for you! Or, for simplicity, write SGT at the bottom.

Get some DVDs to play on the laptop. Our last two days on the road each way trip was amazingly quiet with the three kids watching movies. I hooked the sound up to the car system and set the fader to the rear of the car so they could all hear.

LOL....do you mean like this?

Or even this?

Note the window chalk on the dash (goofy is over there too)

LOL...This doesnt show the Mickey Head magnets (I made them) on the back and we even had large Mickey hand gloves in the side windows and around North Carolina we wrote on the back "HONK, IF YOU ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD" (very large letters on an SUV.:D :) It was loads of fun on the way down, we even had some ppl honk as far north as SC, and it was a blast cause we got to see a few cars more then once en-route.

The best one was the Magical Express bus right as we exited of I-4. LOL...We couldnt figure out why this HUGE bus behind us was blowing it's horn at us for a minute. By then the hands were up front and we put them on and waved them out the windows. The bus driver loved it and was honking up a storm.

Welcome to the site BTW and have a great time on your trip. Be silly and have loads of fun.

Hve you figured out how many days you are going to take?

I did a 6,000 mile or so Round trip to Boston from San Diego by myself, but I only allowed 600 to 700 miles per day! I didn't have to contend with the back seat distractions you have with kids on board!

It's only an SG thing if you ram other cars on the way to WDW because they are in your way!!!

If you have laptop, you should have the kids (and yourself) make a log of the trip with your observations. Possibly you could post SOME of your insights on such a trip here!

Its interesting, because DW and I have been talking about a cross country trip for fun!

Hey Pirate - if you ever make a cross-country trip to WDW you'll be on I-10 going through Pensacola. Give me a shout and we'll join you and Mrs GP for a quick mini-meet.

And Welcome, GrUvGrl, to SGT. We put Mickey and Minnie in the rear window of our car on our drives to WDW, but I like the idea of decorating the outside of the car, too. Gotta find me some magnetic Disney characters. :)

Have a great time on your trip - I hope you're prepared for the HEAT and humidity. :o:

Don't worry, the only people who will even notice your "Yours to Discover" license plates are all the Quebecois who'll be there at the same time - the ones who drive down in cars with license plates that proclaim that they remember.....something*.

Honestly, I don't think it will be that much of an issue. As long as you aren't using your Disneymobile as a way to obtain special privileges.

Like BW said, we love our Disneyphile guests, it's when they start demanding special treatment that it becomes an SGT :D: .

*For the record, I'm originally from Quebec, so I do know what they're remembering. Still doesn't make it fit any better on a license plate ;) .

Hmm.. She found me.... must hide better next time :)

So heres what we have..

In car DVD System with 4 headsets (so I can listen to my music while everyone else watches movies), everyone has a handheld video game systems (even Grandma Canuikstan has a DS!) coloring books and our oldest is prolly going to bring a novel to read.

we will be leaving Markham (which is the top left of Toronto for those to the south) at 3 pm on Friday, should get to the Border around 5pm, and then driving straight through to WDW for a 3 pm Sat arrival. (Grandma will do the day driving while i sleep, I will do the overnight while they sleep.. I have done this drive a few times like that and it works out great!)

The Van will be Crazy! We got a bunch of Disney Window Decals (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald) all ready and i bought some blank vinyl cling paper to make a custo DHL Disney Express sign as well...

And yes, the Big Kids are more excited than the Little kids... (there are no adults allowed on this trip :)
