Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I'm Back! :)
Spent a few days visiting relatives in Lake Tahoe and Sonora,California...
No cell phone service in Sonora so Sorry Susi I haven't called for a while ! :(
Glad to hear things are feeling better and Showering is now allowed ;) .
We camped on the ground in Tahoe with BEARS all around, but we sprayed the tent with Pine-Sol to repel them (it REEKS!) So we lived!
BUT....People were not so smart in the campground and left coolers full of food
in their cars and bear knows how to open up cars!
Another casualty-someone left a pack of food on their Harley Seat so Bear happily ate both the pack and the seat.
Next adventure-Jury Duty- delayed to first week of August.
I'd rather hang out with the Bears!

Disneymom, I am so glad a bear did not eat you! I will be looking forward to seeing you soon at DL maybe? I am doing great and no pain has come back, at least the old pain I used to have. I am still sore from surgery, the incision has healed and is sore and my back is stiff and weak and sore. But then I have not really walked any distances in a long time and my back feels it when I walk more than usual. But it feels like the surgery took care of the problem. We now just have to pray that no other disk decides to degenerate or at least not for the next 20-30 yrs.

I expect to hear from you soon, or I will come and hunt you down! ;) And I am meaner'n a bear! hahahahahahaha Or I will call you!
I missed ya and am glad you are back, my Disney sister! :)

susi

oh and hey, if I had come with you and not showered foe weeks, that alone would have kept the bears away....or maybe they would have thought I was one of them. I smelled like I lived in a cave. hahahahahahahahaha

Rumor has it that Disney will announce a new park in Shanghai after the Olympics. Some of the old standard attractions will be there but with a slightly different twist. One will be the DVD Pirates Of The Caribbean and It's A Small World will have the kids singing while they assemble Nike shoes.

The only new attraction announced so far will replace the usual forms of transportation on Main Street with tanks.

Sounds like FUN!!

Funny you say that. DW was watching a movie yesterday set in a chinese amusement park that looked sort of like Epcot, call "The world" The park had an Eiffle tower, pyrmids etc. The even had a monorail that circled it.

THEN, last night we were watching a show about China's new economy, and the large middle class. One of the stories was about a Chinese fashon photographer and commercial director. It show him making a commercial in an abandon amusement park, and it was the same one from the movie.

Guess parks don't have a good track record there!

I've heard that when you visit a Chinese amusement park, an hour later you want to visit another one! :hysteria:

When Grandma Goes To Court

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren't prepared for the answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?" She responded, "Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize you'll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you."

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?"

She again replied, "Why yes, I do. I've known Mr. Bradley since he was a
youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I'll send you both to the electric chair."

That was very cute and very funny hobie. What is hilarious is that I know a few older ladies that could be that lady.

Okay, folks, I have not read this thread in about three months. In a single post, can someone bring me up to speed?

Didn't think so.
