Nope, that wasn't me. I was over on B side by that time. But I did have a little bit of excitement yesterday. I had just gotten rotated into Tower and dispatched a flight when I see this kid start freaking out and trying to get out of his seatbelt. I had to ride stop and return to load. It was kinda scary but kinda cool at the same time.

What's up with management these days?

There was a time when any maintenance work or cunstruction, etc (that could be hidden) was hidden behind the plywood walls. Now...............They seem to care less.

For example, I'm driving this morning and have a full bus headed for MK. In front of the Contemporary, there is a major re-landscaping project going on, In FULL VIEW. It's a total mess and this is the image that they want to portray to guests going to the Flagship park! A month or so ago, when they re-landscaped the island in front of the bus stops they had construction barriers so the ground level guests could not see the work.

Also what is with this, There was a backhoe on the beach in front of MK regrading the beach, The beach was a mess and again in front of the guests. This type of activity used to take place at night after the guests had left. Now, it's nothing to do this in full view of the guests and during the busiest part of the day!

If I'm wrong about this being bad show, then tell me and I'll go away quietly. :D:

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

You are completely wrong! At least it seems so.

None of that stuff is acceptable. This is WDW, guests aren't supposed to see what keeps it running and looking good. Construction and maintenance is supposed to be hidden away behind walls and/or done after park clear, not done in full view of guests.

I have no idea who to complain to either that might make a difference. Complaining here is all well and good but it doesn't begin to solve the problem. Enough people start complaining to the right people about this kind of thing when they see it something might and hopefully will be done about it.

Call in a maintenance request ... "The construction wall in front of (insert project here) has apparently been stolen/fallen down/disappeared"

Would that actually work? I call maintenance all the time to report things like blown light bulbs (because otherwise they'll be out for months) so I know their extension by heart. I'll have to try that trick next time I see something like that.

With the economy the way it is, maybe they're trying to cut overtime/night shift pay, so they do it in the daytime. All companies no matter how large, are economizing. I mean, if Starbucks can close 600 stores, yeah, I'd say even Disney has to tighten its belt.
