I brought you to Disneyland, so be happy, d*** it!

Post by glendalais » Sun Jul 13, 2008 2:36 am

Had a really interesting encounter with an SG today.

I was working the Cashiers when this elderly gentlemen walks up with what I persume was his Grandson. I ring up his purchase and ask if he needs anything else. His response:

"I'm fine, if only this brat will stop running around. Stupid kid."

 ....wow

And it wasn't in one of those sarcastic-I-really-like-him kind of ways. The guy honestly could care less about his grandson.

I really felt for the kid. He got to go to Disneyland, but had to be dragged around all day by some guy who would rather apparently as much throw him off the top of the Matterhorn  .

:(

wow, that's obnoxious. I had a VIP tour that was like that last week; they brought 8 kids and 6 adults and were all about the adults, getting pissy with the kids when the kids weren't big enough to do something the parents wanted to do. It was pretty upsetting to see these poor cute kids not having a lot of fun at Disneyland because the parents/guardians cared more about themselves.

Of course...I go by what the courts would have to call them, if it were up to me, the terms would be replaced with "people who paid for me to play with their kids"

Why do people like that even bother to GO??

DW and I love when we can arrange for the kids, grandkids, and us to be at DLR at the same time. (Not an easy scheduling trick!)

And we take great delight in buying them stuff that their parents wouldn't get them (candy..sugar...hehehehe)

And getting to ride attractions that we don't normally do when we go by ourselves!

These are probably the same people that give kids socks for Christmas!!

That's because the kid gave the old man a tie.

Thats still a good tie!!!

DW got into a tie making phase a few years ago, I have a few that are...unique!

Wore one to a management meeting...They liked it!

(I save my Disney ties for special times, going to court, etc.)

You go to court frequently enough to have ties set aside for the occasion???
