You dont say if you live in a house or apartment, if your in a house plant roses under all your windows to keep dirtbags out. And the best watchdog you can get is a goose, big so people tend to be afraid of them to begin with, noisy if disturbed so they will alert people nearby and vicious if they have a mind to be. Only downside is they are messy. Dogs often are useless unless trained to guard, they get lonely while your gone so any visitor is good. The dirtbags probably sat in your daughters beanbag chair, watching tv while petting your dog and drinking your beer. Also, since they have been in your fridge, toss everything thats not sealed. I was an Administration of Justice major some years back and some of the sories the cops in the classes and professors who were all ex cops/corrections/DEA used to tell about what burglers do while in your house are scary, they love to add things to your food, and not good things.
