It could happen!TdcOgre wrote:You cannot possess the goddess!!

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I think the CMs at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge have a great way of dealing with SGs on their cell phones during meals. They walk up to the SG and take the phone out of their hand and start talking to the person on the other end, questioning why they were calling said SG while they were on vacation at Disney World. They would then call out to the entire restaurant to say hello to the person on the other end of the call, thereby not only embarrassing said SG but his entire family and the person said SG was talking to. I've seen them do this on more than one occasion. :D:

Omigod... That needs to be standard procedure at every restaurant!Mystic wrote:I think the CMs at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge have a great way of dealing with SGs on their cell phones during meals. One of my friends is a teacher and he does that to his students. He tells them that if he can't talk on his cell in class, neither can then.Mystic wrote:I think the CMs at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge have a great way of dealing with SGs on their cell phones during meals. On a way more macabre note, I wonder if they have ever done that and it was the guest being notified of some emergency. That would not be a good thing.
Then again, it could be great news, like someone having a baby, and then the whole restaurant gets to yell Congrats :)

If you need to talk that badly, excuse yourself and take it outside. A simple, "Hello, hold on a minute" will suffice.

Re: Rude guests and their cell phones...
The gentleman had been on the phone for well over 5 minutes so it was definitely not an emergency call. I've actually seen this happen more than once at Whispering Canyon, both at breakfast and at dinner.Sioban wrote:One of my friends is a teacher and he does that to his students. There was one yak yal yakking near us in Jiko the other night. I could swear that Jiko used to have a notice about no cell phone use, but I haven't seen it for a long time. Whiny SGs probably complained...after all, they're paying thousands for their WDW vacation so they should be allowed to yammer anywhere they want.

Yeah, but whenever I hear that, I want to ask them about ruining MY vacation with their stupid cell phones!Syndrome wrote:There was one yak yal yakking near us in Jiko the other night.
