Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I can't wait to see Susi at full speed with no ECV enjoying her favorite Disney Parks-Watch Out SG's!
Of course, recovery takes time, so I want you all to cheer her on!!!!!!
GET WELL SOON SUSI!!!!!!
That is good news, keep us posted!!!

I talked on the phone to Susi and Ralphie today-
She has already got up out of bed to walk but no food yet and says she is starving-So hopefully tomorrow they will start her on Jello and maybe something soft the next day. Still lots of pain from incision and re-building/re-shaping the discs but hopefully it will improve daily. :)
Ralphie is busy getting things ready for Susi to come home, and she can't wait to get there! He says her Kittycats couldn't sleep last night because they knew something was not normal.
I will give her all your messages when I call her again- Ralph will get on line when he gets a chance-I imagine he needs to get some rest as well.
Hobie, I tried to tell her what you said but she said to not make her laugh, it hurts too much!

I was right. She is a tough old broad. She'll be hitting the par course in a week.

Great Meez, Grumpy!
What is everyone doing today?
We are having BBQ with neighbors then watching fireworks from our lawn (They launch them over the Lake down the road) :)
If everything goes as usual, our neighborhood will have quite a few "unofficial "displays as well-luckily no "unofficial" fires yet!

The first boat i the Vic-Maui regatta should arrive at about 5:30 PM. http://trackinfo.fistracking.com/2008VicMaui/ We'll join the greeting team at the dock for a few brews. After that, we're going to the yacht club for dinner and watch the fireworks that will be launched from an offshore barge. It should be a nice evening.

Don't get me started on fireworks. They are illegal here, but not in Alabama and the state line is about 10 minutes down the road. Everyone goes over there to buy illegal fireworks to shoot off in their back yards here in Florida. I live in a subdivision of small acreages and several people (including us) have horses. As you can imagine, the screaming, screeching ILLEGAL rockets and firecrackers scare the horses as well as the neighborhood dogs and cats. I've been going out every few minutes to reassure the horse that those are not equine-eating monsters exploding in the sky, and had to bring the dogs into the house where they are panting nervously.
They really need to enforce the laws here and fine people who use illegal fireworks, but the police don't do anything unless someone specifically complains (which I have done). Then they drive by and warn the guilty parties that fireworks are illegal in this county. As soon as the police leave, the fireworks start up again. Luckily we've had a lot of rain lately so the fire danger is low.

I love fireworks in a controlled setting, such as at municipal fireworks shows and especially at WDW. :) I just wish people would use common sense and respect for the law and not set them off in a residential area.

Okay, rant over.

Me either. Except for aerials and the M-80 type bunker busters, they're all legal in Hawaii. Problem is, some of the local cultures believe it's okay to smuggle in the illegal stuff and sell them to pyromaniacs.

Watch the news outlets over the next few weeks. You should see something about wild fires started by fireworks. We had one after New Years south of us that burned over 3,000 acres.

Yeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

After work I headed down to DHS to watch their show then headed over to Epcot to watch Illuminations with a patriotic finale. I watched the MK's fireworks yesterday (they had their show both last night and tonight).

All three were a lot of fun and well worth going to. Disney doesn't need an excuse to shoot off fireworks so when given one they go all out.

I had lots of fun and took lots of pictures. I need time to sort them but I'll post some soon (will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can.

Whazzup, I know exactly what you're saying. I like how the majority of fireworks are illegal in Florida but since all kinds are legal in Alabama people just go across the state line to get some. You know those stands set up just across the line are there for Floridians, not Alabamians. Hopefully the stupid neighbors will stop shooting off their illegals soon so the animals will be able to calm down.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
