Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

A fun way to spend 30 seconds, watching this:

The gorilla pod looks cool but to get the best shots of the castle require you to be in the middle of Main Street, where there are no fences or trash cans and just isn't happening until late when the park is getting towards clear. For most of my shots the main people around were Cast Members, the majority of guests had already left and the few left were making their way down Main Street.
Ahhhh! Good luck, I'd love to be able to get shots w/ minimal people at night sometime. They need a night-time tour of WDW :D:

Some didn't come out very good but for the most part they are good shots. I'm still learning on how to best take night shots. One thing I've learned, use the timer, just pushing the shutter button can shake the camera enough to ruin the shot.

Just hang around until after close, I started taking pictures about 12:40 and probably could have sooner if I was ready. I was with BW and some friends of his and we took a last minute ride on Splash Mountain and took our time walking to the front. Then I had to go get my tripod from my locker and I took my time doing that and talked to a few CMs I know along the way. As long as you're on Main Street nobody will say anything as the shops there stay open an hour past park close.

I love Main Street at night, it was so nice and peaceful. No jostling crowds and I could just soak in the ambiance.

In a few minutes I'll post a few of the pictures.

Gorgeous shots, Shorty! Does that camera have a wide angle lens? I'm researching itty bitty compact cameras and have about decided on a Panasonic Lumix. It got a good review in Consumer Reports and Panasonic is one of the more reliable brands. Should be able to get it for a decent price just before our November trip from WalMart online.

Nope, just a Carl Zeiss 3x Zoom lens (38-114mm equivalent in 35mm photography), the standard lens for the camera. It's about 4 years old but it works good for me. I'd like something better, or at least some more accessories (like lenses) but can't afford that right now.

A quick note to tell all of you that Princess Susi pulled through surgery and is now recovering. I'll let Ralphie tell you the details when he gets a chance, but from the report we got, the Surgeon was able to see the cause of a lot of pain and hopefully make a big difference! :)
I can't wait to see Susi at full speed with no ECV enjoying her favorite Disney Parks-Watch Out SG's!
Of course, recovery takes time, so I want you all to cheer her on!!!!!!
GET WELL SOON SUSI!!!!!!
