Wall-E
Re: Wall-E
Basically it's a typical Michael Myers vehicle where he becomes a hippie and advises people on their live lives. Think a cross between Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Timothy Leary. No, I haven't seen it, but over the years I can pretty much figure out what the movies are about looking at the ads, etc.. And occaisonally, the reviews. But this time I went with the ads and what I've picked up about Michael Myers. If I got the name wrong, it's because I tossed the newspapers and don't have them to double-check by.
Re: Wall-E
I just got in the door. I had to run here and post. I started crying the minute the Disney castle intro started and haven't stopped even though the movie was over half an hour ago.
Wow.
All I can say is Whoa, Wow, Dude, and DEEP. I cried for so many reasons- but I did cry the entire thing!
That movie is DEEP. Planning to try to go see it again Tuesday with my dad along- but yes, I am more madly in love with the little bot than ever.
Yay for your watch Wazz, wear it with pride!!! :) :) :)
My little Disney movie rewards free poster arrived today (really fast! i only ordered it a couple days ago- just had to pay a couple bucks for shipping the poster was free- hurry folks and try to get one if you are in MR already- I don't know if they're still available.)
The corner is crumpled.
Somehow, that's perfect.
This film does not disappoint and people will be talking about it for years, years to come.
I LOVE WALL-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wall-E
We saw it this morning! Other than dealing with our 2 month old, I really enjoyed it! Thankfully we were around (mostly) families, so when Paige got fussy (yes, I quickly scooped her up and took her out) there were no stares. Abby really enjoyed it. She was crying at one point (those who have seen it, you can PM me and guess which part) with her Aunt Carrie. I can't wait for the DVD so I can see the easter eggs. The opening cartoon was awesome as well. All I can say is John Lasseter IS this ages Walt Disney. I know he was only the executive producer, but after hearing interviews you can see his finger prints on this one. Bravo Pixar, another GREAT job!
Now if I can only figure out how to see it again soon :D:

Re: Wall-E
I hope my eyes will have recovered by Tuesday before we are supposed to go again, I cried until I fell asleep last night LOL and they're still sore.
I'm such a...I don't know what I am.
as soon as the castle graphic at the beginning my husband literally leaned over and whispered in my ear "Keep it together Bru!" LOL but he was misty at more than one point too, I looked over and saw.
I spent half the afternoon today watching my InterAction Eve and Wall-E talk to each other LOL
FUN!!!

Re: Wall-E
HEHE, you all, just got back from DLR and spotted a very WALL-E smitten Princess Susi there with all of her Toys! Gosh, he is cute! and so sorry we didn't have time to see the movie with Susi and Ralphie, but we did have a good visit before they hopped back on the airport shuttle and back to Denver.
I told Susi to ask the doc if she could have a WALL-E in the operating room with her to make her feel better for her upcoming surgery :)

Bru - you are.... a very emotionally responsive person. It's part of what makes you special.
DisneyMom - that's great that you ran into Susi and Ralphie. I'm so glad they made it to DL, and hope neither one of them comes down sick this time.

Re: Wall-E
Saw it at 10am the day it opened...we absolutely loved it! Now we know what William's Christmas present is going to be. Wall-E on DVD-E!! Oh and I found Wall-E bedsheets for him too! And a really cute Wall-E throw pillow with his eyes sticking out the top.
The employees at our local AMC told my wife they got a lot of the free watches so we ended up with 8. I was expecting a packed house since school just got out, the weather has been hot (by our standards) and it was opening day of a well-hyped Disney-Pixar movie. Luckily I think it was because we went so early in the day the theater was only about 70% full.
And of course my wife and I, being nerds, looked for the little things that are in every Pixar movie: the Pizza Planet truck, John Ratzenberger, and A113. My wife also caught a cameo of Rex from Toy Story, though I missed it.
Definitely going to see it again in DLP either next weekend or the weekend after.
