And the CMs behind these stories -- and innumerable others whose little acts of kindness never get told -- are the reason we keep going back, and going back, and going back again. The parks are nice, the rides are nice, but you CMs give life to the magic!

First post (and an awesome first post at that!) is 'new' enough, Marchief!

I'll add my encouragement here too.

We have been three times so far, starting in 99. First time was my wife and I, before the kids were born, again in 2002 with my 2 1/2 yo son, and then last august with both my precious boys.
Each and EVERY trip has been made extra special for each of us.
I am one of the goofy guests you get. I'm now 41 and I wear my ears from the time we get to the hotel to the time we leave. I am as big, if not bigger, a kid as my sons are at Disney. My sons love disney as much as I do, and are pretty cute to boot. I have had some wonderful experiences due to CM's in EPCOT, HS, everywhere..My youngest son couldn't (and still can't ) go on MS at EPCOT last year and was 'pushing' on the Mars ball. A CM saw him and just couldn't get over how cute he was. Gave him (and us) some passes to get on a ride that he could go on :)
My personal favourite story of a CM just going over and beyond was something as simple as a chef at Chef Mickey's seeing my perplexed face and finding out i was looking to see how to get an omelete. He found out what I wanted, and made it and brought to our table. He didn't have to do that.
But the one that still brings tears to my eyes was in 2002 at the photo studio in DTD where the Princess boutique shots are take now.
We went in November, and had a free picture from our package. It was very quiet, no one else waiting and we went right in to see Mickey and have pictures taken. My son, Thomas, was in to cars like kids are at 2 1/2 and wanted to show Mickey his cars. I didn't want Thomas to keep Mickey if he wanted to get going.. Mickey pushed me, gently <grin>, away and sat on the floor with thomas playing cars...for 15 minutes. I will NEVER EVER EVER forget this.

Truly there are too many stories for me to relate. You are appreciated......
And i know when we return in 64 days you will all continue to astound us at your friendliness, generosity of spirit, and just down right special treatment of folks who are just faces in the crowd to you..

John

Hi new member here. I have come over a couple of times to read. I just wanted to let you know that, as a guest, my family really appreciates you Cast Members. When I see a CM having a hard time with an unreasonable guest, I usually try to give them some encouragement. I know that the Florida sun and crowds, bring out the worst in people more often than not. I know that I couldn't do your job in a million years, same reason that I could never be a teacher. I lack the patience, and franky, mean people tick me off.

Anyway, thanks for the million little things that you do every day that help make my family's vacations so wonderful. Believe me even the smallest of things, makes a huge difference!!

Who knows maybe one day, people wil stop asking you when is the 3 o'clock parade. Hey, it could happen!
:D:

btw.. what is an AP.. Annual Pass?? Angry Pain... DVC Member? Umm is it ok that I am one?

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Javamom (love the name!), there's a old discussion thread here which has more Disney abbreviations and codes than you can ever fit in your head -- but even it doesn't have AP for Annual Passholder. Guess it's so common that it's just assumed that everyone knows what we're talking about! (Another insider tip -- AP's should be happy if cast members refer to them with the full three-syllable word "Passholder." If they leave off the "der," they don't like you. :D :)

Oh, and

It does too! Go read it again. Let me know if you have trouble with the alphabetical order. ;)

It is stickied and the best birthday present I could have gotten. There are new things that have come out and need to be added but Zazu is in charge of that thread now. I am a smart lady and got a nice guy to do the upkeep and maintenance. I scoured the internet for them abbreviations so they should be up to date until the time of the original post.

Okay, I found it, mea culpa... :o: but the list is not in alphabetical order, not when I had to scroll way down to find the "A's."

And Thanks Tinker Bell!!
Believe me, your letter and all other guest letters are brought to the attention of the Senior Leardership Team, both positive and negative. I have received copies of letters from guests, for just doing what I enjoy, bringing magic to our guests.

It is guests like you who reinforce why I work for Disney. Thank you!!!!!!
