Just a thought... wouldn't a blow dart be an appropriately-themed solution??? :p:

You guys are totally kidding, right? I mean, there's a LOT of latent aggression being exhibited on this forum... there obviously is a *teeny tiny* minority of completely heedless jackasses who we really are better off without... but I wouldn't go so far as to contemplate bodily harm as a recourse for being a shithead with a cell phone!

I went to see Pirates dinner show this evening. There was a room towards the threater enterance. One bad pirate was locked in a cage over our heads. The pirate started to make fun of her. He said "Pirates don't talk on cell phones." Talking too much on cell phone can turn off ugly pirates. I kind thought it was cute.

Now, I have been people watching with my sister when it comes to Disney parks. I have noticed it has some what lowered their IQ. I saw a guest approach a popcorn wagon in Toontown and ask that cast member for a churro and an ice cream bar. Poor cast member, I would love to see a cast member whip out a churro and crunch bar out of the cart.

Oh they are completely serious. I'm fairly sure that Wombat and ktulu are a duo of homocidal Norwegian psychopaths trying to take over the tri-state area.

Legend: Alligators dwell in the sewers beneath Disneyland.

Truth: There are no sewers below Disneyland, and therefore no alligators in them. The secret tunnels are infested with mutant rats, however.

I can't stand people who jaw on their cell phones whilst *trying* to deal with you. You try and greet them or something and they get all butt hurt that you even approached them. ("Can't you see I'M on the phone? Stop bothering me! How rude of you!")

Then when it's time for them to say board the ride or something, they have no clue what to do, and its your fault for not telling them after they told you to piss off since they were on the phone.

I hate those kinds of people.

Oh, and the comment on Jungle's old ghetto ancient sound system on the boats...that totally makes the ride! That's why I loved Calico Mine Ride's audio system. Each train was a little different in audio quality, and it totally added to the ride when you were talking in your cowboy accent on your little two-bit mine train. Good times. :)

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

You would love this. There is a little Japanese restaurant in my town and they put a sing at the register that says "We will not ring you up while you are on a cell phone, you will have to step out of line until you complete your call." The cool thing is, they enforce it.. I love that place.

In an "It's a Small World" twist to it, one trip we were eating at the Teppanyaki restaurant in Epcot and the chef at our table asked where we were from and turns out he knew and used to work for the owner of the local place above.. Weird, eh?

That is a good idea, every business should do that.

Talk with them, make plans, look around, chat with the people beside you in line. It's anti-social, loud and rude to talk on your cell phone in a crowded line. I'm glad I'm not the only one hating on this.
Agreed!

Ooooooh that would just make my day if I was in your vehicle with you! You know how I HATE cell phones. They are the bane of modern life! I would tell him loudly that he was ruining the experience for me and everyone else and keep saying it til he hung up. If he accosted me or got in my face, I would have you call security to be waiting for him. NO one should be allowed to take a call on an attraction.

If someone thinks they are going to get an important call, they need to STAY OFF the attractions. I hate that some folks think they are more important than the whole group. One person talking loudly on a phone makes the whole group suffer and wrecks their experience and there should be legalized hogtying of the offender. We could hogtie all the offenders and put em in the hub for all to see, throw tomatos and jeer at! ;)
I would not throw a tomato, just a melted Mickey Ice Cream bar...Muwahahahahahaha

If he is so damn important, then why is he on vacation. He should have sent his kids to WDW witha nanny like all the rich poele o and stay at work! J/K ;)

Yeah that would work, I have seen how hard he whacks that radio!
Syndrome wrote:If I had the power to wipe one piece of modern technology from the face of the earth, it would be the cell phone. Yeah, they're convenient. Yeah, they're good for safety. But guess what? The human race managed to survive an awfully long time without them. I never got one till I started grad school and had a long, lonely night drive in a bad neighborhood. Even then, it was a pay as you go that was never turned on unless I was driving.

Eventually Mr. Syndrome and I got a family plan when we were building our house in FL; he had an IL area code and I had FL so that people in both areas could call us locally. But my phone is off half the time, and with the crappy reception we get in Celebration it might as well be off the rest. Yet people still insist on calling me on it rather than the land line and then wonder why they don't get an answer, no matter how many times I tell them. Sorry, but I refuse to be a slave to my phone.

The only time it comes in handy is if we're in the parks and get separated (vibrate only, please), if one of us is running late, or perhaps if Figment ever dumps me and I'm injured out in the middle of the woods (thankfully that has never happened). Other than that, I'd never miss it one bit. I don't even worry about car accidents because I have Onstar for that.
AMEN Syndrome! Ralphie and I have cells. I don't know why he got me one cause I won't even answer our phone at home. My dad and I both HATE phones, always have. We believe the home phone is for doing business on and checking on family and then GET OFF THE THING! Our calls are short and to the point if everything is okay.

Ralph keeps his cell on when he is out running errands and it is useful to call and check if I need anything at the store. I guess my having one helps when we are at the Flea Market or the parks and we go in two different directions. It helps us to find each other, but I would say that having a specific meeting time and place would work just as well. Tho if Ralphie sees something he thinks I might want, he calls to ask. So it is handy that way! :p:

Syndrome, if I could banish one item from earth as well, it would be the cell phone cause the microwave is just too useful and handy, as is the vibrator! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :hysteria:

That stiff lower back from my bad disk, you know!! Get your minds out of the gutter, so mine can float by!
